IMHO we are seeing the effects of demoralization. When liberty loving, God fearing people seriously talk about tearing up the greatest republic ever created then the left has won. Its exactly what they want and any discussion of fracture is falling into their trap.
The Constitution is one of our founding documents. To believe what is said in the document is to have faith in the concept that it represents. The mission of the left is to change the perception of the concept. Once the majority of people give up their faith then this founding document has no bearing.
Once we all believe the Republic is dead then it is. The left wants us to lose our faith as an ideology. Once we are out of the way, it makes it easier for total take over.
We can never give up the fight.
The Republic is very nearly dead. Democracy has replaced it. A return to the society as the Constitution describes it: a union of sovereign states run by customary law and local government, with voting franchise limited to property owners of Christian religion, -- would be wonderful. The point of the article is that it cannot occur through means of political compromise, and therefore it cannot occur through democratic means as we currently know them.
