Bunk.

Palin is the strongest Republican right now.

She stands poised to pull away a good portion of the women’s vote - even from Hillary should that happen.

She will win a solid majority of men’s votes.

She will win.

Of course, this is just my opinion. :D

He doesn’t meet the requirements, so he cannot run.

It always amazes me to see the words non - partisan describing various parts of the government or commissions. The bureacracy is ran by Democrats and Unions of civil servants.

Now maybe those career government employees try to be non partisan, and maybe they don’t, but the natural bias is toward the Dem’s way of thinking and of course the more government there is the better to a government egghead.

I’d much prefer Marco Rubio run for Florida governor. Rubio is so liberal he would do a lot less damage that way.

Get the liberal Rubio as far away from DC as possible!

Sorry pal Roberts got to write the majority opinion that killed the use by liberals of the Commerce Clause to advance their traitorous agenda. He also left the door open wide for future decisions killing Obamacare as an illegally passed tax measure....the legality of which is still open to challenge.

Your tantrums about every nuance of the court and American politics that you either don’t understand or disagree with for superficial reasons, self labels you as a very low information kinda guy. Take your ignorance somewhere else.

We get so impatient to have a good conservative run for president. But i agree with you: he should have experience of governor first.

Sen. Cruz eligible to be president

I believe that is incorrect. Sen. Cruz eligible ineligible to be president.

A candidate must fulfill three constitutional conditions before he can become President of the United States. A candidate must fulfill two of those three constitutional conditions before he can run for the office of President. The candidates are honor bound to meet the two conditions because there is no government entity that checks or investigates the candidate’s eligibility.

Article II. Section 1.

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The reason “natural born” is in bold characters is because that is the condition Senator Cruz cannot fulfill.

To see why that is important let’s compare the conditions for election to the House of Representatives and the Senate to the conditions for President.

Article 1. Section 2.

No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty-five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

Article 1. Section 3.

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

You can see that the conditions for a House member or a Senator do not include natural born Citizen. The founders added the natural born Citizen requirement for President and not for Congress because they wanted to avoid the possibility of the President having divided allegiances. In order to fulfill the natural born citizen requirement both of the candidate’s parents must be born in America.

It is also worth noting that the President is the only branch of government required by the Constitution to take this oath.

Article II. Section 1.

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: — "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

I am a Christian Conservative Tea Party Patriot who sincerely wishes Senator Cruz were eligible to run for President. However, the Constitution is more important to me than an individual candidate.

That report seems carefully crafted to cover Obama’s ineligible azz. It has no force of law and is in contradiction with the historical USSC’s understanding of the term. I’ll take the USSC’s court understanding every time over a politically motivated Congressional “Report,”

Good for him.

So tired of people trying to hurt the good guys who are brave enough to go into this mess. If you can do better, run, make a difference.

Hmmm. This is splitting hairs. I thought both parents had to be natural born. Now which is it and don’t get lost? It is or it isn’t.

Thank you for your post. I like Cruz too. If one allows Cruz to do this; they will allow Obama too; even if it is suspicious that he was not born here either. They will still cover up.

“not only does the President be born in the United States but EACH of the parents and grandparents must be to. Three generations of family members born in America should not be too difficult to ask”

Your tag asks for Santorum to be president, yet ironically his grandparents were immigrants themselves. Wouldn’t your own rule make Santorum to be ineligible?

We’ve already had 2 too many questionable candidates ~ Cruz will need to be happy with the Senate.

I am becoming more and more convinced that neither McCain nor Romney ever intended to win the general (although both fought like hell to win the primary), and they purposely each took down one of our more promising conservatives with them.

For whatever reason it was deemed important to let Obama get elected and then re-elected by whoever actually pulls the strings in this world. I have no idea why it was deemed important for Obama to win, but it was.

Maybe to avoid blacks rioting in the street over their castastropic employment situation? Did the powers that be, decide that all that was needed to pacify the blacks was a black president at the helm? I don't know, but it has something to do with it I think.

Jack Maskell essentially states the Constitution sets out three eligibility requirements to be president: one must be at least 35, a resident within the United States for 14 years and a “natural born citizen.” The report states "the weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion appears to support the notion that 'natural born citizen' means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship 'at birth' or 'by birth,' including … those born abroad of one citizen parent who has met U.S. residency requirements."

Here we go again.....
