Current TVOver the last decade and a half, former Vice President Al Gore has amassed a personal fortune that rivals former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s, Bloomberg’s Ken Wells and Ari Levy report.

Gore wasn’t even a multi-millionaire when he ran for office against George W. Bush in the 2000 election, but several recent moves have put his personal fortune at a point where it “may exceed $200 million,”...

Yes, this is the same AlGore who failed to deliver his HOME STATE in the 2000 election, then fooled millions into believing his global warming horsecrap. His house is the one that uses more electricity in a month than most American abodes use in a year....

And yes, he is the guy who reportedly cheated on his wife with a massage therapist...or TRIED to do so...and had Tipper divorce him.

Another Democrat hero, like the Impeached Liar Bill Clinton, Hillary "I was named after the guy who climbed Everest" Clinton, Jimmy "I humiliated America with a moronic foreign policy" Carter, and Barack Hussein "Gas and Food Prices are twice as high now than when I seized power" Obamugabe.

Many in Congress get richer thanks to using “insider trading” type information. This has to be stopped. If it is illegal for the rest of humanity, it should be illegal for them too.

He got the same options as all the other directors, priced at the market.

It is amazing how politicians (particularly the Democrats) become wealthy while “serving” in Congress. An enterprising reporter should take a good hard look at the number of these “public servants” over a couple of decades - it would be eye-opening.

Gore is particularly egregious, especially when compared to Romney. Romney’s much more intelligent and clearly worked harder - earned both and MBA and JD instead of dropping out of law school. Romney’s business career created businesses, he analyzed and made informed decisions, while taking appropriate risks with his and his investor’s money. Gore’s contribution to society - fear mongering over man’s impact on climate change while hypocritally using 100 times the power for personal use as a normal family. Makes me ill to think of this “taker” benefitting so much from crony capitalism while his party accuses the producers of selfishness.

No, but he was well on his way with a huge investment in Occidental Oil and a zinc mine on his property. Green Gore is a dirty mofo.

According to his Form 4 dated 2/1/2013 he owns 61,961 shares of AAPL. Today’s closing price was $460.71 which makes that worth around $28.5 million.

But it’s not - they deserve to be insanely rich because they’re better and more to the point, know better than the rest of us.

He is today's Barnum and Bailey Circus playing the suckers. If he had gotten the Carbon Trading regulations through he would be worth 10-50 times as much.

Gore got rich the old fashioned way, by capitalizing on the monumental stupidity of the American public at large.

How could Current TV - a virtually unwatched network as far as I can tell - have been worth 70 million dollars?

Just on a personal note, I’d have to say that having 200 million bucks would take a lot of the sting out of losing ANY election.
