Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions estimates about 57 million new people, immigrants and people with nonimmigrant visas, will be entering the United States to compete with middle class Americans for their jobs if the Gang of Eight immigration bill passes. Sessions staff released an analysis detailing how they reached that number on Friday morning.
This is a number that exceeds the population of the state of California, our largest state, Sessions said on a conference call with reporters discussing the analysis. Its a very, very significant impact on our economy and the American people.
Sessions argued that ordinary Americans, who are already struggling financially under President Barack Obamas administration with perpetually high unemployment, will see pay cuts or be unable to find jobs. He said any gains the economy gets from this bill, as estimated by Gang of Eight members and supporters, are actually paid for by a decline in wages, by wage loss for ordinary Americans.....

What jobs?
This is a huge boon for large corps and such. Not so much for wages for legals and citizens.
IMHO, it would peak out far under that simply due to any opportunity being so diluted it won’t be worth the immigration. We are already seeing a slow down as construction and other immigrant (illegal and legal) heavy jobs are down.
Almost too easy for the ‘Progressives’ to implement a ‘Cloward-Piven’ strategy to overwhelm the system to the point of collapse, isn’t it?
The folks want a lower standard of living sans rule of law and due process.
I’m willing to work for food, but that probably prices me out of the marketplace.
If this passes there will be a 2nd American Revolution...
There are jobs down here. Wish I was healthy enough for one. There’s an Aldi Supermarket near us ready to open but they can’t find enough people. They pay $11 to $21 dollars an hour.
Sounds awesome.
They should be hired by those companies looking for any race but white type hires.
The only thing this government is interested in is itself.
It does not serve any function to better this society at all, it is a menace.
and also FUMarcoRubio, putz.
Well, that 168,000 new jobs the BLS cooked up today looks mighty paltry compared to these numbers by Sen. Sessions.
Of course, many of that 57,000,000 won’t be looking for jobs. They’ll be looking for the welfare offices in every county across the fruited plain. Guess the feds will have to print millions more SNAP ads so everyone can start getting fat in America.
If the clueless GOP goes along with McCain/Rubio’s amnesty, they will be committing political suicide. No one will forgive them for this fiasco.
Before the first Mexican is granted amnesty Mexico should be forced into a treaty that grants all U.S. citizens dual U.S./Mexican citizenship with full rights in Mexico to vote, own property, develop real estate and build businesses.
What jobs? What Americans? America is no more.
Mass immigration and conversion of the US into a third world plantation is a NWO objective, has been for decades. This objective is shared by players in both parties. Nobody will admit it.
That’s also a good argument from the point of view of our business leaders, who have so nicely and publicly informed us Americans so many times that we’re too lazy, stupid and generally useless for manufacturing on our own soil.
Yuuup.
And Mexican foodstamps for gringos.
Given a 7.5% unemployment rate it is crazy to allow that many immigrants - legal or illegal - into this country
Ay, chihuahua!
Congress needs to halt ALL new immigration until the unemployment rate reaches 5%.
The job of our government should be to protect the rights of citizens and to ensure we have the highest quality of life possible consistent with the constitution.
We should not be accepting the riff-raff of Mexico, Africa, the mid-east and other cess-pits by the millions just because they want to come here.
It is time for our government to go back to putting the well being of citizens above non-citizens.
It is not the responsibility of hard working Americans citizens to provide shelter, food, medical care and educations for the all the world’s hungry and poor.
It might make politicians feel good about themselves but it saps the strength and treasure of the nation.
If prospective immigrants do not offer something of value to the country we don’t need them.
