The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and the Carbon County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) are asking for help from the public in gathering information about the theft of approximately 559 pounds of high explosives from a USFS explosives bunker located near Red Lodge.
A press release from the ATF says that in April 2013, someone used forced entry to get into an explosives storage facility owned and operated by the U. S. Forest Service.
The storage facility is located approximately two miles south of the City of Red Lodge.

Just sitting out there all by its lonesome. Really?
I’ll say. I hope they find it...INTACT.
Huh. Why does the Forest Service have that kind of muscle? That’s a lot of tree-trunks to blow up.
How much holy hell would the f-troop rain upon a private citizen who failed to secure legally possessed explosives? Now, how about if the owner was a federal agency? Ahhh, sovereign immunity ... smells like victory.
I know what of I speak from the industry I worked in.
I'm not sure I trust your source on this. /s ;^)
Is that Red Lodge Montana?
The Boston Marathon is just the start of a terror campaign against our civilian population. Bombings of malls etc. will become routine.....
Maybe we don't have to worry so much about the explosives or the ammo, since the KeyStone cop federal agencies & doofus DHS likely can't remember where they placed it in the first place!
That’s a lot of ‘splosive.
Hmm..., That’s about 270 plus IED’s in pressure cookers? Will the ATF be able to find the perps any better than they found the guns of Fast N’ Furious?
Yes. Daughter of one of my friends just moved back up there during April. Very worrisome. I, too, wonder what the Forest Service was doing with such a huge quantity of explosive material, particularly in this part of the U.S.
wow. i guess i’ll be avoiding big crowds.
I’m not sure what the forest service would be doing with all those explosives on public land, but I could pretty much guarantee that you wouldn’t be able to do the same thing on your privately owned land.
Hmmm...and Benghazi testimony on the 8th of May.
MUST HAVE DISTRACTION.
over 500 pounds of explosives and they’re just sitting there?....its ridiculous.....
thing is, whoever did this needed a big truck, and probably some help....this was not easy task....personally, I wonder about the govt accounting practices....who really knows when this stuff went missing...
Blowing beaver dams, log jams?
