No, what takes courage in today's sick, politically correct world is to say that homosexuality is wrong, it is a sin and that it is harmful both to the individual and to society. That rather than being lauded, Collins should be pitied and we should pray that he will recognize his sin and repent. Let someone publicly announce that and see the venom-laced attacks start. That would take courage.
I think these folks wake up in the morning and the very first thing they think about is their crotch.

I did it too, till I was about 25.
Then I grew up.
This guy will either:
1. Fail to get be signed by any team because he’s washed up and the liberal sports press will wonder aloud if it’s because the guy came out as a turd poker,
2. Get signed by some team with a liberal owner, and then get “horribly mistreated by players and fans”. Because he came out as a turd poker.
In either event, he’s a martyr and a ghost-written book away from a retirement career.
