We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and it has timed cycles. Yes it was a little more expensive but it is not only the quietest dishwasher we have owned, we do not have to rinse the dishes. The interior of ours is stainless steel.

We have put casserole dishes in there with baked on mac & cheese and had them come out spotless.

This is very similar to what we got but we bought it in a local appliance store:

Hope this helps somewhat.

Yeah, there’s several knock-off brands of TSP that really aren’t Trisodium Phosphate.

Our local Lowes Hardware store carries the good stuff—pure Trisodium Phosphate. It’s made by the Savogran Company.

Their address on the label says:

Savogran Company
Norwood, MA 02062-0130

Telephone # 1-800-225-9872
Mon-Fri 9am-4pm EST

You might give them a call tomorrow and see if they can point you to a distributor in your area.

We use slightly less than one tablespoon per load of dishes. You might need less, or more, depending on your water’s hardness.

Cheers!

Find another store. Try a paint store. google is your friend.

Phosphate-free Trisodium Phophate.... now that’s funny. That’s like the “Carbon-Free” 5lb bag of Domino sugar I saw last year.

“I looked into that but the TSP in my hardware store states: Contains no phosphates on the label.”

In Colorado, you can’t buy TSP anymore as it is supposedly used to make meth, and stores all “voluntarily” quit selling it. Instead, they sell a product that has the brand name “TSP”, which of course contains no TSP.

What you want as an additive to both clothes washing and dishwasher is STPP anyway. Real STP can damage your washer and dishwasher.

Janitorial cleaning supply companies sell the real detergent at about $9.00 a box.
The junk they sell in the stores is worthless and ruins all clear glass dinnerware, period.

All the Dishwashers still have the disposal blades in the bottom to chop up
food into small enough particles to drain, but, if your detergent is junk
you could have problems with the plumbing later.

Bosch is the best for the price and the prices have dropped as the brand
becomes more popular due to the dependability and sound levels.
