He doesn't get the attention of the Sunday talk shows, or Washington's political elite, but the Midwest's dragon slayer, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, is emerging in some Republican circles as the surprising favorite to win the GOP nomination for president in 2016.
Untainted by scandal, far from Washington's voter-frustrating gridlock, and reinvigorated by his victory over foes who staged a recall vote, the conservative Walker is also viewed as the best candidate to sop up the Midwest white vote which, had Mitt Romney done better there, would have catapulted him into the Oval Office.
But the best part in the eyes of the University of Virginia's Larry Sabato: "If Walker were to become the Republican presidential nominee, Democrats will have helped it happen." That's because they drove the recent losing recall effort out of anger Walker was cracking down on public unions.

Thanks gusopol3.
Thanks.
I sure wish our side would wake the heck up, and start taking our side for a change.
This is the one issue on which the GOP is out to lunch.
How's that global warming Spring going over there?
Thanks for the ping.
This will hurt Wisconsin, gravely. No matter what Governor Walker does for the USA, when he’s gone, WI will fall back into the hands of the Socialists. There’s not enough ‘trickle down economics’ at the Federal level to help any of us.
Steal Governor Walker so then you can all complain and call us names again and say we’re ALL Socialists and Un-American and we get what we deserve because we’re too STUPID to vote for real Conservatives, etc.
Seriously, quit pimping for him to run. Let us have a full 4 or 8 years of him to help us turn Wisconsin around to the point where it WON’T fall victim of the Socialists for decades to come. I would LOVE to live in a FREE state with good jobs, lower taxes and LESS government. Give us more than a year to accomplish all that, would ya? His second year in office was TIME WASTED due to the LibTard Recall effort.
Yeesh!
Glad you weren’t pulling it out of the trash, LOL! :)
How about a Cruz-Walker ticket?
heh
