This is beyond petty. It is ignorant. A hold has been placed on a resolution honoring Margaret Thatcher in the Senate which, as Katherine Rosario explains, is an insult:
"A Senate resolution to honor Lady Thatcher was supposed to pass last night. However, per well placed sources on the Hill, Democrats have a hold on the resolution. To refuse to honor a woman of such great historical and political significance, who was deeply loyal to the United States, is petty and shameful. One truly has to wonder, what is it about Lady Thatcher that gives them pause? Her unfaltering commitment to freedom? Or perhaps the way she fought for individual liberty and limited government?
The House used traditional bereavement procedures, the same model they used for John F. Kennedy. It's a simple, solemn means of honoring the individual by passing a resolution and immediately adjourning. Similarly, Great Britain's House of Commons was recalled, bringing members of Parliament back from vacation to honor Lady Thatcher.
Those actions were a fitting response to the death of one of the world's greatest post-World War II leaders."
Do the Democrats believe they can alter history by ignoring it? Evidently, yes. The Democrats' action in refusing to allow the resolution to come to the floor, and then adjourning as sign of respect for the dead, is loutish behavior.

They are truly the bastards of America!
Hugo Chavez.
On most other forums I’ve been on over the past few days, every argument about this has quickly degenerated into a shouting match about how Thatcher was a war criminal for “murdering” innocent Argentines.
If arguments are indeed “won” these days simply on the basis of how shrill and overbearing they are, I’m afraid that the anti-Thatcher, pro-Argentine folks have won this round in spades.
Many of the folks, who were partying about her death are now vowing to put a stop to her funeral. X.x
“Socialism is alright; until the other fellow runs out of money.”
Democrats don’t like that way of thinking.
She doesn’t deserve to be feted by these commie bastards. We all know what a fine lady and leader she was . . . why even spend two minutes on worrying about the Commie Congress’s saying anything nice about her?
So, who placed the hold?
In that case the Republicans should offer up a resolution honoring the city of Detroit as a glowing example of Democratic Party policies.
The U.S. Senate: there is not a more useless, self-serving, egomaniacal (is that a word?) legislative body in the world. The 17th amendment will be the ultimate downfall of the republic.
Smart $$ says Bernie Sanders....
Obama and the Democrats are traitors...
That is definitely a keeper...
Goes with the notion that there is no such thing as a Socialist Economy... You either have socialism OR you have an economy.
RE: Thatcher was a war criminal for murdering innocent Argentines.
And do we hear Leopoldo Galtieri being called a war criminal for ordering the invasion of the Falklands and murdering Britons?
Then our guys need to start talking about it. Call out the Dem caucus, call them petty and uninformed. Use the opportunity to make a case why the policies of Reagan and Thatcher were so successful.
Once again our side is a bunch of incompetent dunderheads. I wish I could manage messaging for 12 months to demonstrate that leadership is not that hard when you actually stay on the offensive.
Of course Dim’s hate Maggie.
She was an enemy of world communism.
This is despicable. However, the time for endless breat beating and cataloging the Left’s deeds is coming to an end. We are sounding like complainers. Rush Limbaugh spends 90% of his time on air doing only this. It is payback time. Just once (preferably everyday), I would like a Conservative leader like Rush or Sean Hannity to simply tell their audience. ‘Don’t get mad, get even.’
