Honestly, I was a bit young to understand, my older brother talked about her incessantly and I thought he was crazy.
I made up for it later........
I did, however, have a huge adult kind of crush (not a Clintonian kind of crush, no wrong ideas here) on Maggie Thatcher.
RIP to them both.

Fame never went to her head. I feel very sad. God bless her sweet soul. Yes, a sad day all around . . . smiles are becoming fewer and further between these days.
RIP Annette . . .

Well, young fellow, your brother was NORMAL!
Annette was wonderful and beautiful.
Margaret Thatcher was absolutely the best.
God bless and hold her dear.
I imagine her with President Reagan now along with Pope John Paul II and Winston Churchill.

Heh. We were both NORMAL.
He was just old enough to know why he was drooling......I caught up later.......
We saw Maggie T give a speech to the Home Builders Association in Dallas at Market Square.
What a great woman.

All rumors that Elvis has died should be ignored. People get absurd at times.

I was thinking of that. Hope she never knew of it.

I truly feel as if a member of my family has passed. She was the first crush of my life. I was seven and Annette was 12 when she burst onto the scene in "The Mickey Mouse Club" in 1955. She won my heart even while I too young to even know why--
Rest in Peace, My Dear...

The first girl I ever fell in love with . . .
she ignored all of my proposals of marriage . . . though I admit I was only about six at the time.
She was too fickle, I suppose . . .
