Actress Annette Funicello, best known as a child performer on the original “Mickey Mouse Club” and for her beach movies with Frankie Avalon, died on Monday. She was 70.

LOL. I think boys loved her, but we girls so admired her!
I thought she was beautiful and in person, she was, but her kindness was just as beautiful!
I can still picture that meeting and her kindness and friendliness she extended to me and my friends.

She was a role model for a generation of young girls.

She was truly NICE and truly KIND.

Annette had real talent, too..
Now there was a young woman who came out of the Disney lineup back when the Mouseketeers were decent young people.
When I just mentioned to my husband that she had passed away, he said, “I had a crush on her. Everybody did.”
As a kid of about 10, I thought she was just beautiful, and I even wrote her a fan letter, for which I received an autographed photo.
Seemed like a nice woman. I don’t follow celebrities, but I don’t recall hearing any scandals in the news that were associated with her.
Baroness Thatcher and Princess Annette....two of my all-time favorite women. May they both rest in the presence of God, in the peace they both deserve.

This is so sad. She brought lots of happiness to millions. Really sad for me since the man I have been “dating” for a few years was told last month that he has MS. He had been having severe back pain, had emergency back surgery after he woke up one morning and could not move his legs. His drs thought it was from playing football at AU. It is a terrible disease. RIP, Annette.
I got Annette, the kids now have Lady Gaga.

MS is a horrible disease..I am so sorry about the man that you have been dating has been afflicted with this terrible disease..My prayers go out to him and to you
