Gasoline prices, which have been on a near-relentless surge since late 2012, may be showing tentative signs of easing, data from the AAA showed on Tuesday...
prices are barely 40 cents below a record high set in July 2008.

/sarc "But its a lot more expensive in Europe! You should be GLAD that it's not $10/gallon! And you should support our government motors and buy a Volt, anyway. That way you wouldn't even NEED gasoline!"
My experience here in the last few months approaches or has surpassed the $3.79 you cite. It is $3.41 now. Doesn’t sound like anything is correcting.
What country?
For instance you mention the financial bailout. For a while we didn't know but because fifa we did learn that Bush begain loaning money to the banks in Feb 08 and by Dec 08 most of it had been loaned. Yes Obama continued that.
What about that TARP thingy. That was the the GOP, before obama took office.. Of course Pelosi rubbed the GOP's nose in it when she said the dems would not pass TARP unless the GOP furnished a certain minimum number of votes. So how many GOPers got voted out because they voted for TARP, and can you name the very prominent Randian GOPer who voted for tarp and suffered no consequences, except he didn't get elected to VP.
And of course you like to talk about the Obama stimulus but you don't want to talk about Bush stimulus.
Gaffer accused him of nit picking and you accuse me of being Robert Gibbs. My response is the same, its just a matter of being accurate.

I could site numerous stories regarding gas prices during the Bush administration that were critical of the president when gas was $2.75 a gallon, but it doesn't matter.
Believe this: there are about 25% of the U.S. population that think gas prices at the current level are too LOW.
How can one not see a "reckoning," or a "come to Jesus" moment for the populace of this country soon, is beyond me.

” And of course you like to talk about the Obama stimulus but you don’t want to talk about Bush stimulus.

I see. So your definition of accuracy is what exactly?
You know my talking points? You know that I go somewhere, FR perhaps, and get talking points fed to me without examination? Or you are calling me an RNC operative?
You characterize me as “liking to talk about the Obama stimulus”. Really? Can you identify my voluminous posts regarding that topic? Or perhaps you know me in real life and you have heard me discuss this ad nauseum?
Or could it be you assume and project when it fits your narrative?
Your impotent little reply doesn’t even directly address what I said, you simply used it as a tool to characterize me as some sort of ideologue.
I suppose, back to my original post, you are attempt to support my primary assertion.
Now that we are conditioned to be glad to pay over $3 per gallon, they will push it over $4 soon.
I was responding to your phrase "financial bailout" and the 3 componants of that were the loans, tarp and stimulus.
And over the last 4 plus years, the right both collectively and individually has talked about all three. And when they have talked about stimulus they never want to even acknowledge that there was a Bush Stimulus.
And beyond that, the rightwing attempts to hang it(economic meltdown) around Obama's neck were never successful.
Thru that period, large majorities of those polled blamed Bush and the GOP.
Now if that strategy of trying hang it around Obama's neck never worked thru 09-12, and Obama got re-elected, why would the GOP collectively, or freepers collectively , or individual freepers such as you or others on this thread continue trying to hang the economic bailout, gasoline prices, job losses, etc around Obama's neck.
Do you think that maybe by 2016 it will be a an effective political strategy to use against Hillary?
“And beyond that, the rightwing attempts to hang it(economic meltdown) around Obama’s neck were never successful. “
You are terribly confused. I’m not quite sure if you’re a liberal who enjoys irritating posters here, or if you’re damaged in some other way.
The meltdown happened before Obama took office. It’s what cost McCain the most. Remember, the fundamentals of the economy are solid?
I am simply calling for accountability from the Obama administration on what’s happened, and their absolute inability to fix anything. Which may be by design.
I could engage you further, but I see no future in that. Your slant seems to be blame Republicans first, and smear freepers as the situation allows.
Enjoy your trolling, keep your head down when the shooting starts.
