I heard this story today on the liberal Miami radio AND local tv news.

The tv "journalists" emphasized that gas is "almost 50 cents lower than it was in 2008"....never mind that since their hero seized power GAS PRICES HAVE SKYROCKETED.

When the Oresident was elected in November 2008, gasoline was about $1.86/gallon. The media can stick this Obama asslicking up their own asses.

Three dollars and sixty five cents for a gallon of gasoline is ridiculous.

Sorry to say, but this works. Americans are stupid. Americans wait for the MSM to tell them what they think.

New Obama gas initiative could force rise in gas prices

posted at 10:31 am on March 29, 2013 by Ed Morrissey

In a year that has seen gas prices shooting upward already, a new EPA policy that makes fuel more expensive will not find a warm embrace with the public. Nevertheless, the Obama administration will announce today a new set of emission regulations that will in essence force all 50 states to comply with California’s standards for sulfur and other components of refined fuel. The White House claims this won’t add any cost to gasoline, but the oil industry strenuously disagrees:

The democrats (and their MSM) blamed Bush for his outrageous $1.89 a gallon gas prices. They said there was no reason why the American people should suffer from the out of control pricing. They demanded an investigation.
It was $1.89 until the democrats crashed the housing market.

The democrats sure made a mess out of everything, didn't they?

Really? Because it’s still over $3 a gallon here? Do they live in “Opposite World”?

CNSNews.com) – The average price of a gallon of gas has increased 96 percent since President Barack Obama first took office in 2009, according to figures from the Energy Information Agency (EIA).

According to EIA data, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States was $1.838 on Jan. 19, 2009—the day before Obama took office. As of Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, the per-gallon price had risen to an average of $3.611—an increase of 96 percent.

The $3.677 is not the highest gas prices have been under President Obama. That record was reached the week of May 9, 2011 when they averaged $3.965 per gallon.

On a completely unrelated note, President Obama gave Solyndra, a solar panel producer, $535 million of taxpayer money in 2009. In 2011, Solyndra ceased all business activities, laid off all their employees, and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Probably, but nitpicking on the exact price in the face of such blatant media lies is pointless. I do know it was $1.86 around the time he was elected. To imply that he’s turned the corner on gas prices is ludicrous.

He doesn’t give a sh!t about gas prices because his constituents ride buses and subways/rail that are subsidized by the rest of us.

And the goal of the left is to force the rest of us to ride those buses with their feral constituencies.

And if we don’t like it, so much the better, as far as they’re concerned.

Yep. What you said. People packed tightly together in inner city cages are easier to control - or eliminate [if the U.N. "scientists" calling for a drastic human depopulation get their way. (a culling of the herd)]

Sorry, don't mean to nitpick but to keep us accurate. From the time from his election to his inauguration was still not his administration. The price continued to fall until Obama actually took over, then it started climbing.

I don't lay all of that difference on either president. But Obama has certainly contributed to keep the oil price and subsequent fuel prices high.

Dad has a bumper sticker on his car, says:

“On Obama’s first day in office, Gasoline was 1.86 a gallon.”

So I guess I better fill up since its at $1.46 today.

This is just to soften the blow to the consumer. How many States are looking at raising the gas tax. Memorial day is around the corner let’s see what the price is then and of course when the Vacation Season arrives. $3.65 willl have seemed like a bargain.

"Americans are stupid"

Americans are not stupid. You may want them to be stupid when you talk about the price of oil or gasoline after the economy collapsed. But Americans certainly remember these prices. Some people actually keep records and I am one of those. So, at my location, I paid $3.979 in June 08 and after Bush and the GOP collapsed the economy, I paid $1.629 in Dec 08.

And as the economy recovered the prices have recovered.
