Rush claims the battle was lost when conservatives started modifying the word “marriage” (“traditional marriage,” “straight marriage”) to describe the institution rather than insisting that the word itself necessarily refers to traditional/straight relationships and therefore doesn’t require modification.
How would you have enforced that message discipline against the left, though? Their 40 percent of the country would have been calling it “gay marriage” no matter what.

It is not wise to take morality out of a society for any society to endure long term. The religious voices are important in this discussion. If you don’t have integrity or set standards, the financial system and basis of the government as it is now will always be corrupt. Why change a marriage to accommodate a lifestyle choice (free choice) for some citizens. What’s next to be changed? Why create further stress on the court system and on families. Why do the gays need special rights. It’s amazing people cannot admit that Rush gave the enemy motivation while depressing his listeners. Very disappointed in ElRushbo. A team wins with confidence. He gave reason for uncertainly; when we have no opposition voices in leadership (as he knows very well) who will not speak up. I think it was a bad move. It’s done now. We can disagree though.

By the way, I didn’t speak for Rush. He plans for his show so if there’s any fallout/praise, talk to Rush.
Serious conservatives don’t have to listen to Limbaugh to get their brains activated in his morning talk show.
Sadly, it seems that Rush no longer wants to be inspirational. Though at least he discusses some social issues these days. He rarely did in the past. I think he's come late to the realization that politics is downstream of culture.
Rush, Hannity, Beck and all of the rest have always been in it for the cash. Rush, especially, could have run for President and won with the ideas he has...but, he won't do it. No one wants to face the real fire. However, making money on the side selling tickets to watch the fire is a lucrative proposition.

I stopped listening to him regularly several years ago; for those who still do, has he admitted on-air that he supports civil unions or does he save that little tidbit for interviews he doesn’t think you’ll read?
There are two Rush Limbaughs: the man himself, and the character he plays on the radio. Conflate the two at your peril. He’s a very successful entertainer, nothing more.

I think it is lost. I think the entire country is lost. Conservatives are being bred out of this society and will be non-existent in less than 50 years. The history books will be overhauled to create criminals of us and all of our principled leaders, etc. We’ve seen this in progress for 50 years now and it is continuing in every school in the country. Unfettered immigration is speeding it up, too, and there’s zero we can seemingly do about it.
Really? As compared to you, who has done what for "the human condition" besides nothing?.

Marriage it self is lost so long as it is integrated with the sin of sodomy its meaning cannot be made truly be compatible with its propose.

Who in the world says Christians don't sin? Everyone does, and no one has claimed otherwise. The Bible instructs us to speak up about sin, but when we do, to make sure we aren't committing the same offense. Otherwise, Scripture tells us how TO judge sin.
Liars, thieves, and adulterers aren't running around, demanding people fawn over them and approve of their behavior. People are falling over themselves to cave to the homofascists. I never will.
