Rush Limbaugh on gay marriage: “This issue is lost” [ What othre issue does Rush concede ?]

Rush claims the battle was lost when conservatives started modifying the word “marriage” (“traditional marriage,” “straight marriage”) to describe the institution rather than insisting that the word itself necessarily refers to traditional/straight relationships and therefore doesn’t require modification.

How would you have enforced that message discipline against the left, though? Their 40 percent of the country would have been calling it “gay marriage” no matter what.

Is immigration control lost?

Deficit Spending lost?

Is Rush just in it for the cash now?

Rush didn’t concede the issue, the gist of his commentary was how it seems everyone in power has given up on it. No one who makes the decisions are standing and fighting.

That’s because they don’t know how to deal with being labeled a homophobe.

People are twisting this around —he was advising against our folks adopting psychological tricks the left plays.

Some conservatives are strangely like ghetto folks who resent it when one of their own make it big and leave the hood —they twist anything against that person.

It’s some weird love of pain and abandonment.

Ignore Rush and O’Reilly. They have taken conservatives for a ride and have made tens of millions of bucks on the way. Forget them.

Listen to Ingraham and Palin. These are true social and economic conservatives.

'That’s because they don’t know how to deal with being labeled a homophobe."

I'm not the least bit afraid of homosexuals, but what they do disgusts me. If that makes me a "homophobe" than so be it. It's right up there with Al Sharpton labeling someone a "racist"...it carries no weight.

Bingo FRiend! It is great to see that some freepers realize that these guys are only in it for the money just like Anne turncoat Coulter. They have only been concerned with preserving their own bank accounts rather than fighting for what is right. These people care very little for the common man although they pretend to.

Cuomo was very verbal about gay marriage...”It will bring money to NY”.

Really? That’s your in depth analysis? You think Rush and O Reilly have anything in common? Why don’t you just admit you don’t listen to Rush before you embarrass yourselves further?

Unfortunately Rush has always been uncomfortable talking about traditional sexual values — even though our welfare state is fueled by unwed motherhood and young thugs growing up without fathers. He made his name with “caller abortions” early in his career but has steered clear more recently. On his shows, he does not oppose gay marriage with much enthusiasm and appears eager to switch the subject to financial or economic topics.

Perhaps he is afraid the the liberals will point to his four marriages. Maybe he gets pressure from his nitwit wives, including the one who hired Elton John to sing at their wedding.

It sounds like Rush is letting his wife do the thinking for him.

A point I have occasionally tried to make.

There is no such thing as "gay" marriage. Never has been, never will be. In 10,000 years of human history, it does not exist. It never will exist.

Old joke:

If we agree to call a dog's tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?

Answer:

Four. Calling a dog's tail a leg doesn't make it a leg. Pass all the laws you want to, there is no such thing as "gay" marriage and there never will be.

What other issue does Rush concede?

Voting for socialists [Romney], for one.

Yes!

That’s one RUSH conceded.

The other is: any question that our elections process is filled with fraud.

RUSH said he “doesn’t want to go there”, when ever election fraud is brought up.

Our election process is as free and fair as our press.

I am as disappointed in RUSH as I am with the GOP.

I happened to hear the show where he talked about this. He, personally, did not concede the issue, but was remarking on an appraisal from someone else that asserted the battle was lost when the verbiage was changed, IOW, as soon as people started referring to “gay marriage” the definition of marriage as it had been known for thousands of years was already compromised.

I would like to think that 2012 taught us that all those suposed “conservative” pundits are in this for one thing and one thing only ... money. They could care less about Conservatism and America. While I stopped watching these nitwits some time ago, 2012 really solidified my decision. The only one’s worse? The LibTard ones.

Rush and crew are irrelevant to the human condition.

To say the issue is lost is the same as giving up.

Rush, by contrast, is not giving up on fighting Obamacare. He fights even though at least 80 percent of the American people support the most important feature of Obamacare — eliminating preexisting conditions. Rush continues to fight socialized medicine because it is right thing to do.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t spend anywhere near the same energy fighting gay marriage.
