Religious liberty groups are mobilizing to defend the chaplain of George Washington University’s Newman Center after gay students launched an effort to have the priest fired because he preaches against homosexuality and abortion.
“It’s discrimination against Catholics,” said Patrick Reilly, president of the Cardinal Newman Society. “Secular colleges are fast becoming a very unsafe place for Catholics who hold true to their faith. This is a very, very sad situation.”
Damian Legacy and Blake Bergen said they want the university’s Office for Diversity and Inclusion to investigate the priest and they are calling for the student government association to defund the Newman Center.
“To have my faith leader view me that way, just because of one piece of the way that God made me , and to think that one part is responsible for the destruction of my human dignity, it just didn’t, I can’t even begin to describe the mental conflict that it creates,” Legacy told the newspaper.
The two students also cited academic studies that linked the inability to sleep and loss of appetite with being around homophobic behavior.
Reilly told Fox News that he found the incident “absolutely disturbing.”
“Chastity outside of marriage has been the Catholic church teaching for more than 2,000 years,” he said. “The only discrimination occurring there is trying to silence a priest for trying to teach the Catholic faith.”

Initially, it's your job that they'll take. Next it will be fines and penalties. (think of the 0bamacare penalties being charged daily to HobbyLobby for having a religious exception to abortion and contraception). And coming soon ... JAIL, unless you give up your freedom to your deeply held religious beliefs.
Makes me think of the Maccabees who resisted the governmental assault on their religious freedom.

One thing is certain to me now...we have too many people with far too much free time on their hands. Idle hands are the workshop of the devil for sure and every one of these examples is further proof. Rather than protesting for something meaningful like how our economy has been destroyed or how discriminatory taxes have devastated the middle class, they protest the inability to promote their fag agendas.

Oh, I think it’s complete now — like a cake just being pulled out of the oven. Next step will be slicing it up and passing it around for everyone to have a taste of this final “product” and what it really means for this country.

I believe it’s more sinister than that.
They want to destroy religion and the religious. They will not be happy until they destroy the church which disagrees with their so-called lifestyle choices. They believe if they remove the opposition their guilt over their choices will disappear and all will be well.
Got news, we win no matter what they do. They can’t destroy God, or His book. No matter what they do, the sin of abomination remains until they repent.
I really hope these kids of the Gaystapo youth get horrific diseases from their unsavory habits.

God did not “make” you be a pervert, you chose that path...
This fellow apparently gets his identity from his appetites and not from his God.
You don't have a choice of your appetites, but you do, as a rational human being, have a choice of your actions. If I followed all of my food-related inclinations, I'd be dead already by appetite driven behaviors. Everyone is inherently screwed-up one way or another (that's what the ig "Original Sin" concept is all about) and we all face a daily battle between doing the easy thing and doing the right thing.
Everyone needs to restrain disordered desires. As a matter of public policy, an individual who really "can't" control his sexual behavior, shouldn't be allowed out in public without a sheriff's deputy.
Maybe the left should push all Christians who don’t support homosexuality into camps? The behavior being displayed by the “tolerant left” are really starting to scare me.
