I made one unforgivable mistake when I was in North Vietnam, and I will go to my grave with this, Jane Fonda says on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
The actress and activist made an infamous trip to North Vietnam in 1972 where she was photographed singing with members of the North Vietnamese military as she sat on an anti-aircraft gun.
She was criticized then and ever since and says she understands the anger.
Fonda says she knew immediately she had made a mistake and has apologized repeatedly, both privately and publicly.
She told OWN program Oprahs Master Class that the event happened on the last day of her visit. She was tired, she said, and didnt want to attend.
I don't know if I was set up or not, she said. I was an adult. I take responsibility for my actions.
The soldiers sang a song and Fonda joined in with her feeble Vietnamese.
As everyone was laughing and singing, Fonda was led to a gun site, where she sat down.
And I was laughing and clapping, and there were pictures taken.

Fonda is late for an appointment with a speeding bus
The only possible motive is “publicity”.....same story...different day
No excuses... .. I hope, as I would never pray for her, that her judgement is NOT soon.....that she lives a long and painful life filled with fear, depression, illness, isolation and injuries as did those that defended her freedoms .
God is the only one who can forgive IMO. I won’t .
Till then she and anyone that provides her peace and comfort can eat shit and bark at the moon for all I care.
Trash .... My opinion.
Hanoi Jane had only one high-point in her life...Barbarella, and that ain’t sayin much.
Does she really regret it? As a principle? Or does she just regret the negative publicity it caused?
What I learned, she said, we have to listen to each other, even when we dont agree, even when we think we hate each other. We have to listen to each others narratives, not interrupt defensively or with hostility, but really try to open our hearts and listen with empathy.
In other words, she is saying there is no absolute truth. What may be true for one, is not truth for another. Everything is relative. She hasn’t learned a damn thing yet.
Don’t worry about your mistakes.
Just go to your grave.
As well, I thought a salient comment was, There were no planes, the gun was not operable. It didnt matter. This is an image that belied everything that I was, Fonda said.
How very odd, it, “belied” her?? It DEFINED her, she WAS anti-American and pro-VietCong or she wouldn’t have been there! Prevaricating bitch to this day!!
Until Jane Fonda apologizes to God, she is going straight to hell.
So, how does she explain the notes placed in her hand by American prisoners (while shaking hands) she immediately turned to the NV officers?
Is that certain? Even if it is, she can personally recant and be fine. That’s if there’s an afterlife.
Good luck with that.
Fools will not know the whole story and forgive her, so that one day in 40 years or so little Billy, long out of college and with his own kids, will say:
“Oh My crazy Grandpa was a wacko right winger back in the days when there were guns all over and America was a colonial empire. Even hated Jane Fonda!”
And little Billy’s son “Mo” will say: “well I love her, and I’m glad they made this beautiful statue of her here in Washington. She stood for peace and justice, like President Obama, Peace Be Upon Him.”
She can’t, so she doesn’t try. Sadly, far too few people know about that.
I hope there is. With infinity time and of universe, we’ll see. I kinda assume dead is ke surgery except you don’t wake up. Maybe tough, it’s possible after that you do have something. I think Jesus coming back is taking too long, and he should have given a few direct miracles.
The thought of Fonda going to her grave, cheered me up a bit this morning.
Contact page for this @### who immediately turned over to NVA officers notes placed in her hand by American prisoners, resulting in their torture and in some cases deaths: http://janefonda.com/contact/ Yes, you useless hag, their blood is on your hands, and that blood never washes off.
