The U.S. would oust the communist regime in North Korea if it uses its nuclear weapons or launches an all-out invasion on South Korea and the 28,500 American troops stationed there, national security sources say.
The Obama administration has not articulated such a far-reaching retaliation, even as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un threatens to attack both the South Korean and the U.S. mainland.
But national security sources say it is a common assumption within the Pentagon and U.S. Pacific Command that a full-force attack by Pyongyang would put in place a contingency plan of massive retaliation against the North aimed at bringing down the Stalinist regime. President Obama then would be faced with making the war decision.

I wonder what China thinks of the muzziebrohood. I guess 0 can use the sequester cash to ship his brethren to NK.
China is worried about the same thing happening on her borders as well.
I predict in the end, North Korea with be divided into “North” North Korea, which China will administer and “South” North Korea, which will be administered by the South, but with tight border controls to avoid refugees from pouring into their two countries.
“Doubt if he has the cajones...”
Will he try to “vote present?” If he does, it will be the end of his presidency. A community organizer isn’t used to doing anything but stirring up $h!t, so this will be “uncharted ground” for FUBO.
Curiously that is what happened when the North Koreans torpedoed a South Korean warship. However I wouldn't necessarily bet on that outcome. Remember, this is the President who has left 100,000 American troops in Afghanistan after announcing the date of our surrender. He's bombed Libya into regime change because the UN ordered NATO to get the oil flowing again. He's sent hundreds of American troops into places they have no business such as Nigeria, Central African Republic, Jordan, Pakistan and Egypt. He's bombed countries with planes and drones from Pakistan to Yemen to Somalia to Mali.
Democrats are a lot of things but they are seldom scared of putting our forces in harms way for dubious reasons. It's the one and only thing I'll give Jimmy Carter credit for. He wasn't into nation building.
What could possibly go wrong?
Gay Leader Baby Kim can sense weakness when he sees it. Is there anyone who can’t, when a superpower’s supreme leader is a community organizer of a provincial ghetto community of illiterates?!
China does not want a regime change. They are afraid S.Korea will expand their empire and compete with their economy.
The 28,000 US troops in Korea would be casualties within the first 48 hours of an all-out North Korean attack on South Korea. Therefore, it would be imperative for the US to launch a massive nuclear attack to elimate North Korea in retaliation. In no event should any American troops cross the DMZ; let the South Koreans do any mop up operations after the nuclear strikes.
If China intervenes, let them see their glittering new cities go up in flames from more nuclear strikes.
I like your idea!
“Face it, we are going to have to leave the little bastard there or see South Korea over run with refugees looking for a better life.”
The world will have to pony up some food. The idea that we would want to leave this festering sore on the world since 1950 because of the near-term problems regime change would pose seems to be a bad idea to me.
“Obama sees an attack on our West Coast as an opportunity to lower the unemployment rate.”
ROFL!!!
He does if there is a Muslim Brotherhood contingency waiting in the wings to take over...
S. Korea next
Oh really? Wonder what the Constitution says... about that?
Sorry, big, but Harry Truman... started 'war without declaration' back in the summer of 1950.
Besides, why would Obama make a decision? He hasn't made an actual one... since he was elected to the Illinois Senate--
The MB isn’t in NK yet....but if NK nukes the US or anyone else, the MB will be there looking for another nation to control. Count on it. And you already know....
Barry will stand with the Muslims when those nuclear winds shift in an ugly direction.
Obama sees an attack on our West Coast as an opportunity to lower the unemployment rate.
ROFL!!!
I wasn’t referring to the deaths that would occur if such an attack would take place but I would not doubt Obama also see that as an opportunity. Obama also sees an attack against South Korea as an opportunity to lower the UE rate because it would resume the “war” against the North and likely result in a draft (whether it would be needed or not).
Dems always LOVE the draft.
If the US mainland is attacked with an EMP, no one will be sending any messages for a long, long time.
Ø’s first response will most likely be to set an example to the Norks... for example, decreasing the US arsenal by another 80%. This will show them good faith and good will, and UN will surely be satisfied then and back down. After all, we have plenty... what’s [another] 80%?
Keeps sounding like we are becoming French surrender weenies....
The POS couldn’t even fess up to Benghazi. I sincerely doubt he’s capable of making a decision on NK. The only thing he’s capable of is flitting around the country campaigning for his destructive domestic policies. I don’t think he’s spent a full week in the oval office with his sleeves rolled up.
Replace it with what? NK is a third generation crime family operation.
