A central Texas prosecutor and his wife were found killed in their house two months after one of his assistants was gunned down near their office, authorities said.
Investigators found the bodies of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia, on Saturday, Kaufman County sheriffs Lt. Justin Lewis said. Police, FBI agents, Texas Rangers and deputies were part of the investigation.
Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse was shot to death in a parking lot a block from his office on Jan. 31. No arrests have been made in his death.
Lewis declined to say how the couple died or whether authorities believe their deaths are linked to Hasses. He wouldnt provide further details. Kaufman County is 33 miles southeast of Dallas.
Kaufman Police Chief Chris Aulbaugh told The Dallas Morning News that the McLellands had been shot in their home and although investigators didnt know if their deaths were related to Hasses killing, they couldnt discount it.
It is a shock, Aulbaugh told the newspaper. It was a shock with Mark Hasse, and now you can just imagine the double shock and until we know what happened, I really cant confirm that its related but you always have to assume until its proven otherwise.

if it is AB, this story will die. When is the last time you hear a story about the Aryan Brotherhood? exactly.
Why in tarnation would they do that when they have their own people here?
I don't think you understand...
Our borders have been intentionally left wide open for decades by the corrupt ruling class of both countries.
Ya got Mexican drug bosses living right here in the good old USA not to mention tens of thousands of their gangster soldiers living right here.
In fact, ya got U.S. Government politicians on their payrolls, paid off to ensure those open borders, remain wide open.
I only go out to do what is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, if I do have to go out, I keep my head on a swivel. I used to think living in the midde of the country, 5 miles from I-20 on a two-lane blacktop was about as safe as one could get. It wasn’t until I was in high school we locked our doors during the day. If I am going to anyone’s house out here, I call in advance. Can’t be to careful these days.
My hunch would be either AB or the cartels...One or the other, not both.
Of course there is always the possibility these two were on someones payroll and threaten to talk unless they got a bigger cut...Maybe the cartels paid them to eliminate their AB competition.... Who knows at this point..
But you can bet with recent events of cops targeting other cops, and gangs in the joint turning to high profile targets, those in government will be spending a lot more time protecting themselves rather than worrying about the safety of Joe and Jane tax payer on the street.
I don’t know if this is true. I was told by an attorney in Dallas who seems to have knowlege about these three killings. It was told to me that the Texas AB is about as bad as they get. Quiet bold and violent.
Someone has it n for them, you would think they’d have a clue or two after this mess. There is no perfect crime.
Mexican Drug Cartels brought to a Texas town near you.....DISGUSTING!
An update story says the D.A. was armed and wary.
Why no security camera’s, motion detectors, alarms, if you’re that wary?
I’m thinking video linked intercoms will be hot sellers soon.
Kaufman county is just East of Dallas and it is not a border county.
“Things like this aren’t supposed to happen in the country”
Ain’t that the truth! I moved from Dallas to a county adjacent to Kaufman county in the mid ‘80s. Dallas was getting crazy. I loved the fact that the biggest crime reported in our weekly newspaper was stolen bicycles and truancy. That, sadly, has been replaced with other crimes.
I don’t have a clue who might be committing these crimes against the DA & ADA. It could be the AB..or a Mexican cartel. Heck, it might be local drug dealers.
Whatever it turns out to be...I agree with you, it’s darn scary.
TIP LINE
A tip line has been set up for the investigation and anyone with information to share with investigators is asked to call 1-877-847-7522.
It is sad that Texas can not secede, close it’s borders, and hunt down and eliminate these brazen criminals.
LOL~
We have 30 million illegals here running through the streets of America! Ya got people in Texas impersonating illegal aliens in order to avoid criminal penalties.
Even the restrained idiots drooling in cups are aware of this open border lawless chaos.
I give your post a 4 on the honking hoot scale.
It couldn't possibly be because Austin is a "sanctuary city" Naw, that couldn't be it.
I got breaking news for ya, the entire country is a de facto sanctuary for illegals aliens.
I stand corrected.
drudge is saying the this is being blamed on white surpremisists? I didnt realize that there were that many whites in that part of texas.
What type of cases do they prosecute? Is it possibly the work of narcoterrorists upset over interruptions in their “business”?
