Washington (CNN) Two leading Republican lawmakers said Tuesday that reports of chemical weapons use in Syria, if true, mean the president's threshold for involvement in the country's civil war has been met.
Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham, who have led calls in Congress for greater U.S. involvement in Syria, issued a joint statement saying the attacks, if verified, would demand a response from President Barack Obama.
If todays reports are substantiated, the Presidents red line has been crossed, and we would urge him to take immediate action to impose the consequences he has promised," the senators wrote.

If US enters into hostilities, it is fighting directly with Russia, not smart.

Then McGraham can prance on over there and fight it on their own.
These are the same scumbags who led the cheerleading squad to get involved in Libya before deciding to be outraged about Benghazi.

Graham and McCain are idiots. Oliver North emphatically states the so called chemical weapons are not. That they haven’t been used yet. Why drag us into anotherI unwinnable situation?

Rand Paul had Lispy and McQueeg pegged dead-on. Apparently those two DO actually see every square inch as battlespace.
Screw that... no war in Syria unless we get a declaration from Congress... which won’t happen.

Nah. Obama’s already in the area. I vote that he should go to see if the rumours are true. If he doesn’t come back, oh well—we’ll know.
