Current TV's $500 million sale to Al Jazeera has prompted a lawsuit that claims co-founder Al Gore originally was opposed to the deal but had a "change of heart" on selling his cable network to oil-rich Qataris.

The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in San Francisco Superior Court by John Terenzio, who presents himself as a highly regarded media consultant, executive and TV producer who conceived the idea for the distribution of an American version of Al Jazeera.

Now, Terenzio claims that he has been cut out of the lucrative deal.

Interesting that Dick Blum was on the Current Board. He’s the husband of Dianne Feinstein. How much did DiFi make off the sale? Gun-grabbing hag!

The Al Gore/Current TV/Al Jazeera toilet sure has a lot of crap floating around in it. I wonder who else will float to the surface.

Seems similar to the solar green energy global warming scam.

Al Gore buys a TV ‘channel’. He pretends to have quality shows for a short period of time. Then ...boom... he sells it to Al Jazeera.

Almost as if the plan was to guarantee AJ’s acquisition using Gore as the middle man who walks away with plenty of cash.

The only problem I have with AJ is that their US outlet will probably lie as much as their American(I use that term loosely) counterparts, which is too bad because AJ is a pretty good source.

"Now, Terenzio claims that he has been cut out of the lucrative deal."

Bill Clinton tried the same thing with me.

One thing about liberals, they love to accuse Republicans of being greedy. Liberal DemocRATS are greed personified.

"At Terenzio's direction, Nanula is said to have approached Richard Blum, a member of Current's board of directors (and the husband of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein), who was interested because "he and other Current investors were concerned about the prospect of losing their shirts in the financially troubled Current."

I have recently been visiting the AJ site for articles on the war in Syria. The pieces I have seen seem to be pretty good and not heavily political as those from say CNN or MSNBC.

Time is a factor but I can see the potential for AJ programming overtaking the weak CNN and MSNBC.

Folks here tend to put the Arabs down, not realizing they are not all wackos and have become citizens of the world. The piece says Quatari’s but I think of it as being GCC. The GCC wants a world class voice. AJ is that voice.

Think Dubai and Abu dhabi........ they are the future, here now.

I watch AJ News during various incidents in the Middle East, and the difference between them and ‘our’ MSM is so obvious.

They don’t interrupt their ‘guest speakers’.

Actually Current TV has been around for almost eight years. It never made money or got much viewership. It was a dog. Al Jazeera’s offer was so inflated that simple greed was enough persuasion for Gore and his gullible investors. IMHO.

That’s one of those fly-over channels, the remote cursor just flies right over it.
