they’d demand a gop chair step down during investigation just because of the seriousness of the charges.

Don’t worry...the Ethics Committee is on the case.
Ethics in Washington is a slippery fish to be sure.

Well, what the hey, huh? It's only statutory rape - for a Democrat that's a rite of passage.
Keep Faith with the Fallen of Benghazi! Let the Obama Regime, for once, tell the Truth!

Says Dick Durbin, “Ethics aren’t problems, if you are a Democrat. If you need evidence of this, see that last election.”

Why shouldn’t he keep his gavel? Its not like the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee had any integrity before the allegations or any serious person respected its work. As long as the Democrats control the Senate its just another act in the Obama clown parade.

[Menendez has also acknowledged intervening with top federal health officials on behalf of Melgen in a billing dispute with the Medicare program, as well as a port security contract in the Dominican Republic.]
Why would a Florida eye doctor seek a contract to provide security at a port in the Dominican Republic? The country is a transshipment point for narcotics moving from South America to the U.S. The Dominican Republic also sees its share of arms and human trafficking.

If Durbin is in favor of a particular idea, you can count on the adjective “harebrained” being somewhat shy of applicable.

"Sen. Menendez has given us an assurance that there is no substance to these charges," the Democratic senator from Illinois said Well, that is good enough for me. I know we can always trust a Rat senator to tell the truth, right? I mean the Rats are always honorable, and can be trusted with your teen age daughter, right? SARCASM OFF

Oh, well that changes EVERYTHING! Call off the investigation! He gave his ASSURANCE! I mean, that level of certainty is UNPRECEDENTED! No WAY he would say that unless it was TRUE and the allegations FALSE!

Durbin's reference is normal Illinois political corruption.
Nobody else comes even close, so of course Menendez should get a pass.

What we should NOT be upset about is not the dems acting normally. What we SHOULD be upset about is their counterparts accepting their behavior in silence.
But people seem content to let the GOP sit silently on the matter, so they must logically approve.
