Andrew Breitbart:"Politics is downstream from culture.""Like all cultures, we get our values and morality from our mythology and in 20th and 21st century America,
our mythology mostly comes to us through the movies.""For a fantasy story to be truly great, it needs a memorable villain...Earl Babbie:
...willing to violate accepted moral principles in order to accomplish their goals."What sets a hero aside from the rest of humanity is the
willingness to assume a personal responsibility for public problems."
(image from http://barbaricthoughts.com)In our current political environment, of course, we already have a villian (Obama) --
but until now, no one on our side has been willing and/or able to be the hero.Enter Bill Whittle, the reluctant hero.Perhaps Bill is just at the right place at the right time, or maybe it's a case of "opportunity meets preparedness."In any event, it appears that Bill Whittle may soon "have greatness thrust upon him," by default. The "alternative" media have been buzzing about his "fire-breathing" defense of traditional conservative values
during a short (but powerful) address to David Horowitz's Restoration Weekend last November.Like Ronald Reagan before him, he energizes ordinary Americans by validating their deeply held beliefsToday's release of Bill Whittle's "Virtual Inaugural" video marks the beginning of his two-year quest to "shadow" President Obama --
with his full-throated, and logically consistent defense of small government and private enterprise, wealth creation,
individual liberty, American exceptionalism -- and many of our OTHER traditional conservative values.
to go where Obama goes (figuratively) -- and do what Obama does (virtually).
Bill Whittle intends to show the world how a CONSERVATIVE "virtual" President would respond to the same current events --
and answer the same kind of questions from the media -- as the current LEFTIST non-"virtual" President does. His goal is to show the American people what they **could have** had, if they had elected a better President LAST time --And if our current "leaders" will NOT listen, Bill may just have to do THEIR job for them, too. ;)
and to show the current "leaders" in our party how to effectively communicate our superior values NEXT time, if any will listen.
So, what do **you** think about Bill's plans?
The end was Awesome, I’m in.
Thanks for the Ping!
Been listening to Bill...what a great way to start the day - and what a harbinger of HOPE.
Can Republicans get back to speaking in this manner? How REFRESHING That would be! :)
We (semi)seriously need to clone this guy. At a time when we lament the dearth of intelligent voices speaking out for sane solutions to our problems it is a sheep pleasure to listen to him. We need as many people who can speak as articulately and passionately as we can get and there aren’t many who do so better than Bill.
Bill Whittle for something or another!
Thank you for this post! Brilliant!! I love Bill Whittle!
Too bad the president we want doesn’t exist.
God needs to raise up another Reagan.
One of the best ‘communicators’ out there ...... what the heck is wrong with the Republicans that they can’t do the same?
Answering my own question here ..... when you are not conservative, it’s hard to make the case for a conservative ‘path’ for the country to start working on reversing this mess we’re in. If conservatives don’t go third party, there needs to be more than a major Repub housecleaning i.e. the house needs to be gutted & new wiring/plumbing, drywall, etc. put in, not just broomswept to get the dust bunnies out.
Oh well.
Whittle is the voice of conservatives lost to but the PJ media and now a good freeper...thanks
Can Bill be drafted to be the Republicant candidate? If so, I would have to change their nickname.
He certainly understands that the problem is the lack of VIRTUE! Refreshing to hear someone who GETS IT...
I hope he keeps doing this and this sort of presentation gets more widespread attention. We need to win back the culture.
Whittle Obama down.
This guy is good!!!!

Darn, I missed the campaign. Are there any virtual bumper stickers, virtual posters, or virtual t-shirts left over?
Buuuump!
Thanks, Rondog. Please do add me to your list.
