A majority of American voters want the Boy Scouts to lift its ban against gay members and leaders, a new Quinnipiac poll finds.
The Boy Scouts of America announced last week that it was considering changing its policy of banning gay scouts and troop leaders. On Wednesday the organization said that decision would be delayed until a national meeting in May.
In the Quinnipiac poll, 55 percent of respondents said the scouts should drop the ban, while 33 percent said it should remain.
There is a significant gender gap in the results. Women back gay scouts by a 61 to 27 percent margin; among men it’s a narrower 49 to 39 percent margin.
Catholics are also far more likely than Protestants to support the inclusion of gay scouts.

Not some bull dyke with a crew-cut!
For the last few years I have had an automatic Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) payroll deduction of over $1000.00 a year to the Boy Scouts. I chose the Boy Scouts because they were standing up to the gay Nazis. Now that they no longer stand by those principles my contribution will end this month. I hate to punish the boys of decent parents but I just can’t support them anymore.
Here’s what ends up happening...after they declare open season for gays in the scouts.
There’s going to be some eleven-year old kid who comes up to join a troop and immediately identify himself as bi.
This will freak the scout master out a bit...who will start to worry about camp-outs and comments by other parents over who can sleep in this kid’s tent.
But somewhere along the way...some idiot is going to report this in school, and then someone will ask who exactly the kid is partnering up with. And this bucket of worms start to open up where suddenly you got eleven year old girls doing it, and a number of eleven year old boys.
Cops get called then, and accusations fly left and right. It’s one thing for a sixteen year old to claim “status”, but for eleven or twelve year olds? Nope....the authorities will get all over this, and some judge will have to sort out truths and half-truths.
The scouts? It’ll be a Doctor Phil episode every single day, which have boy scouts wanting female uniforms, then in-depth discussions over sexual activity, which will really worry parents in various troops, and various claims of sexual assault or rape during camp-outs.
If you ask me...it only creates a bigger mess in the end.
where, when, whom and how was this goofy poll conducted? I for one a former boy scout do not support this pop-in-jay ideological stance for gays in BSA. No way no how. The faggots can go to hell.
Unfortunately we who disagree will be called discriminatory. More crap of political correctness. Homosexuality is a choice. disgusting to expose young boys to the possibility of sodomy. Did not penn State University have a massive fallout because of a sports coach (football) had allegations and convictions against him for having inappropriate relations with Boys? What about the Catholic Church Dioceses throughout the USA and the payouts by the Church caused for dioceses to sell off large parcels of land and buildings?

The Boy Scouts is not a political organization, office, etc.
Doesn’t matter what the heck voters want. How about parents of children that will be forced to be around perverts?
There’s only one poll that matters: the voting members of the Boy Scouts. This poll doesn’t cover members of the Boy Scouts, a private organization.
In America, the majority doesn’t trump our Right to Free Association.
We already know that a majority of voters are morons.

But what do current scout leaders, parents, and scouts think?
Yes.
It's easy to make empty gestures by telling a telephone pollster the PC answer they seek. The BSA will end up not only bankrupt but notably devoid of new members if they cave to corporate sponsorship demands and the insistence of the Sodomite lobby to transform their organization into a place where parents no longer feel good sending their boys.
The long and successful drive by the left and the Sodomite lobby to force their perverted lifestyle on the 98% of the nation that doesn't want it is becoming truly pervasive. If the Boy Scouts, a private organization with a fine record of helping boys become decent men, cannot hold to it's core values then America is pretty well finished and it will be sorely missed.
I bet the BS of this poll shows if the boy scouts organization are evil enough to fall for all of this. There will be far more out going boy scouts than incoming. Any decent parent would immediately pull their sons from this organization.
But who knows what the organization will do. They have been infiltrated. Just like everything else. The liberals have been at work with these infiltrations for years. It is how they get results. Conservatives allow it.
What is the best way to have young gay boys feel inclusive:
A.) Get off my fat lazy ass and start an organization like the Boy Scouts and allow gay boys..
B.) Write a big endowment checks to someone who actually has initiative and will start an organization that allows gay
C.) Have politicians bully the Boy Scouts
d.) Have the Government violate the constitution and force the Boy Scouts to accept gays.
E) Both A and B - I am a true libertarian
F) Both C and D - I am a true fascists
G) I get your point, next time I will answer none of "my damn business"
I think a more telling statistic will be how many boy scouts will quit the organization if the board endorses homosexuals in the scouts. I would bet they would loose 70-80% of the current active scout members. Which parent in their right mind would send their 10-13 boy on a scouting trip, overnight or not, to be supervised by a homosexual pervert? I can't imagine too many parents, even liberal ones, who would do this.
This “poll” is just another example of psychological conditioning that is practiced by the progressive elite. The Boy Scouts are supposedly in the minority and are therefore unAmerican. Homosexuals could easily form their own youth organization, perhaps the Puffter Scouts. The could give merit badges for interior design. It is noteworthy that even critics of the homosexual agenda use the term “gay.” I am occasionally gay and I am not a homosexual. I resent the fact that they have taken over this perfectly good word. Homosexuals are not “gay” in spite of the propaganda. Check the suicide statistics. Once the perversion is accepted as normal anything goes. See you at the next necrophilia pride parade. They know this is a sickness in spite of the APA. Chris Matthews called Senator Larry Craig a pervert after Craig’s toe tapping incident. Of course Craig was a Republican. Was this homophobia or maybe Republiphobia.
If the majority is for it then they will have no trouble launching their own NAMBLA Scouts.
