Sheriffs have risen up all over our great nation to stand up against the unconstitutional gun control measures being taken.
The following is a list of sheriffs and state sheriff’s associations from who have vowed to uphold and defend the Constitution against Obama’s unlawful gun control measures. I applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction.
I call on sheriffs all over this nation to add their voices to the growing numbers of faithful protectors of our freedom. -Richard Mack

Sheriffs and associations who have made public statements committing to protect their citizens’ 2nd Amendment rights from Obama’s gun control efforts will be added. Some of these sheriffs are members of the CSPOA, but inclusion in this list does not necessarily mean they are a member.

To make it more clear, I have posted two links to two groups. The link at the title seems to be the most serious bunch, the second link is what seems to be a second, somewhat parallel association but not as outspoken.
That is a pretty low ratio nationwide.
I do not feel comforted.

It is low indeed. We need to lobby our Sheriff’s to get on the right side of this. If it’s any comfort, the list is growing quickly.
There are 3,033 organized county or county-equivalent governments in the United States according to 2007 Census of Governments.[2]

Nothing to feel good about if only 9% of Sheriffs aren’t on board.

I had the pleasure of meeting Richard Mack at a gun rally at the Lincoln Memorial back in early 90’s. Impressive American indeed; we need more just like him.

I find it hard to believe there are only 3,033 organized county or county-equivalent governments in the United States.
That is an issue.
Laws in this USA start at the local level.

I did too, back when the Sage Brush Rebellion was in full swing. Interesting that the Denver Police Department was recording license plate numbers in the parking lots at the time and later pulled him over on some trumped up charge that didn't stick, of course.
Like any of the revenue collectors in SFL would care about the constitution....
I feel angry. Our Republican group in Brazoria County, Texas, spent a lot of time, money and energy on our Sheriff’s re-election and his name is not on the list. He’s going to have some explaining to do to a bunch of folks tomorrow.
