By now all Americansregardless of their political ideology, especially conservativesshould be fed up with the government failures produced by political operatives and big moneys influence in our elections. Election after election, powerbrokers like the infamous political Republican strategist Karl Rove and his campaign money machine are working to deprive Americans of the fundamental concept of choice in our elections. If Mr. Rove continues to have his way, conservative Americans will only be allowed to vote for candidates of his choosing in the foreseeable future.
Super Pac American Crossroadsfounded in part by Karl Rovehas branched out on a new political influence peddling venture call The Conservative Victory Project. The Conservative Victory Project will operate independently of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and American Crossroads. It is being funded by big Republican campaign contributors frustrated by American Crossroads failure to aggressively inject their money and influence into Republican vs. Republican contests. According to reports the Conservative Victory Project unlike American Crossroads will be disclosing all of it donors. How refreshing, if true.

"Although the size of government has declined slightly in the past four years, the debt has exploded and higher taxes are likely on the horizon. It is during periods of government expansion that freedoms are commonly surrendered. When Paul Revere took his midnight ride shouting, The British are coming, the colonists were facing a mortal threat from an army intent on taking their land and freedom. Today, the threat is no less real, but is not of the type which threatens our life, just our liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Think about it." (Forbes)
What they're saying is that many of our elephants are actually rhinos?
That'd be tough to disguise!
I necessarily don't advocate a new third party however, conservatives HAVE to regroup under a strong unified banner which is NOT this loser rino republican party.
If this is what the Republican party has become, then maybe it’s time to redefine what a RINO is.
If being a Republican means being like Karl Rove and his ilk, then being that “in name only” would actually be to your credit, something to be proud of.
I need more coffee...
I distinctly read, “The Karl Rove Cartel Will Now Pick Your Nose”...
Karl Rove doing his best to redefine what Conservatism is to benefit himself, and those of the establishment that support him. Rove makes a good living screwing up the works for the benefit of himself IMO.
I’m beginning to think that Karl Rove has defected and is now serving as a double agent.
It will tell me who to support in every election, if Rove is for them, I’ll be against them. Making it easy for us all.
Obviously it is clear that the Republican Pary is dead.
Karl Rove should be run out on a rail. More than anyone else, he is responsible for the debacle that occurred last November. He should pay for that by being turfed to the Northernmost reaches of Alaska to conduct polls among the Inuit.
Why would anyone listen to Rove, who has proven himself so wrong? Simple. The RINO country club political class want to protect their connection to the Tax revenue gravy train that Washington has become. They could care less about the country.
The president has filed NO budget, yet the Republican House still continues to appropriate money that Obama can spend ANYWAY he likes because there is no budget.
The gravy train is what is important, the people can GTH as far as Rove is concerned.
Sarah Palin must fight them, or we start a 3rd party.
Karl Rove just wants to win elections.
A Republican who would allow abortions in cases of rape or incest, but still wants a strong defense and a balanced budget, would be a lot better than a Democrat who wants a weak defense, doesn’t mind trillion dollar deficits because she likes enormous social programs, and never met an abortion she didn’t like.
In order to pursue a Ronald Reagan agenda successfully, we’d need a Ronald Reagan. Where is this candidate?
Up until Reagan, the GOP has always been the liberal party. Since Reagan, the globalist leftists have been working successfully to get the party back from the conservative little people that elected Reagan. The problem is that both parties are controlled by different leftist groups and conservatives have no home.
I don't believe you get it.
If the Republican-controlled House didn't appropriate a dime, it wouldn't affect Obama's spending. We'd just have an annual deficit of $6 trillion.
We need to win a presidential election.
You need to sirch harder, FRiend.
The Republican party is the only possible path to a conservative majority.
So, the task at hand is for conservatives to take over the Republican party -- just as Liberal / "Progressives" took over the Dems.
Any other strategy simply leads to ever larger Democrat majorities in government.
Ha-HA, This is the same argument Dems been using against the SCOTUS citizen's united decision: ‘big $$$$ interfers with democracy.’
Better yet, Rove’s contributors are those uber-rich Republicans, err I mean those job creators(like Mitt), who we were supposed to take a hit on taxes for at the end of the year to protect.
Hey, I thought we are all supposed to ‘want to be just like them’ someday.
When we get uber-rich we can influence these primaries with big $$$$ too.
They earned it, they are 'job creators' , they got big $$$$$, LOL
or...., don't do what Rove's commercials tell you to.
We need to win a presidential election. >>>>>>>>>>>>
LOL. Of course we do. But we have to play the hand we have.
The Republican party is run by politicians who are interested in nothing more than keeping the tax revenue gravy train going.Thats what Rove is all about.Even if we win under Rove’s plan, The People will be no better off.
The Cha Ching sounds the same whether its the pockets of Republicans of Democrats being filled. That sound has to stop.
I think Karl Rove has always been a bit Leftist, but during the G.W. Bush Administration his bent didn’t really stand out as he was camouflaged by much of the actions of that administrations moderacy. Karl Rove was actually revered during that period as some sort of a genius. It was later when he wasn’t just another tree in that particular forest that his lefticity stood out, and people could really see the grain of his bark.
This sounds so familiar.
Obama in Rose Garden 2010 on Citizen's United:
“They can buy millions of dollars worth of TV ads - and worst of all, they dont even have to reveal whos actually paying for the ads. Instead, a group can hide behind a name like Citizens for a Better Future, even if a more accurate name would be Companies for Weaker Oversight. These shadow groups are already forming and building war chests of tens of millions of dollars to influence the fall elections. ”
Oh really? That attitude is what's destroying the Republican Party. And as BroJoeK pointed out, unless the Republican Party survives and wins, we will have Democrats controlling the White House and Congress for the rest of our lives. Because that's how long it would take to build a new political party in this climate that can win.
We need to reform and rebuild the GOP. The question is how we go about it.
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
