On the first day of Black history month, policy experts analyzed the current economic state of Black Americans during a summit at Howard University. One featured participant said President Obama, does not deserve a pass anymore regarding confronting Black issues head on and asked that the President summon his courage and find his voice on economic inequality in America.

There has been discussion on what some refer to as a cone of silence over the Obama presidency regarding issues dealing with race and racial disparities in America. The Washington Monthly magazine featured Obama and race on their front cover in January.

I think that the concept of the change we have been waiting for refers to what was most likely to happen in the second term. Things like Occupy Wall Street are indications that unless there is a mobilization outside of the Black community the possibility of getting the change weve been waiting for is limited, Morris, who teaches a course in Black politics, added.

Uh oh. Anytime we hear the terms “racial disparities,” it only means one thing. Whitey has too much money and we deserve to take some of it.
Tsk, tsk....whatever happened to the Freeloaders United’s love-fest with our First Post-Racial President?
Sounds like they loved LBJ’s reign of Socialism better than Obama’s. They must not know that the money has run out after shoveling about 8 trillion dollars into our ghetto sinkholes with their corrupt Democrat pols in charge. In the War on Poverty, Poverty won.
It is too effing late to come to this revelation. They have given this traitor the conductorship of the train to America’s oblivion. It’s just a matter of time now.
Interesting comments after the end of the article.
Let him not only find his voice but summon his courage and use his political capital to address racial inequality. He owes that to the African American community, he said.

He “owes” this to the AA community?? Just the African Americans? What does he owe to the non-African Americans? Is he the president of the entire country, or just the African American part of it? What exactly do they feel they deserve in return for their votes?
Dont’ work that way, my friends. Maybe next time you should vote for what’s best for ALL Americans ...
Wonder if anyone at that summit will ask a few questions. Why do Liberals always situate abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods? Why do Liberals herd minority students into union controlled horrendous public schools while they “choose” good private schools for themselves?
Maybe if the so called “black leaders” would encourage these needy blacks to find A moral compass they would become A part of our country. But we all know that the race baiters will not encourage them until they can make more profit doing so.
And the cities are too far gone for things to change.
Racial disparities!?
So-called African-Americans are getting away with murder....literally. And (NA-effin-ACP) it's way past high time you bastards did something about it.

Wasn’t it Jackson or Sharpton that told them in 2008 that he wasn’t authentic?
Wait until they start getting the bills/tax-increases for Obamacare.

Trouble is, though, if the election were held today, they would still vote for him.
He will never have the courage to say: "Get an education, get a job, get and stay married, speak English, take responsibility for your own actions..."
...and if he did the race baiting poverty pimps would abandon him in a nano-second.
“Maybe if the so called black leaders would encourage these needy blacks to find a moral compass they would become A part of our country”
The first problem is that there are few, if any “black leaders.” They are all simply high-class pimps for the “Free $hit Society.” The black moral compass is stuck on profligate procreation as a “life’s work.” Earl Butz was absolutely right!
“...and if he did the race baiting poverty pimps would abandon him in a nano-second. “
It may take longer than a nanosecond, but as you can see by this article, it’s starting to happen. Blacks thought Obama was their first-class ticket on the gravy train. They were wrong!
I’m not so sure they are wrong, just impatient.
Why do folks continue to suggest Obama is ignorant of the effects of his policies?
Obamas plan has always been the destruction of America, due to his anti-colonial beliefs.
That means he believes America achieved its success and its wealth at the expense of the third world, and then used that wealth and influence to oppress the rest of the world.
THAT is the fundamental change he speaks of!
Crushing Americas productivity, energy consumption, freedom, access to meaningful healthcare....
People are simply afraid to assign malice as his motive, out of fear of being declared racist or alarmist.
The facts are there for all to see.
Black Agenda?
I think this is just smokescreen and cover for Baraq.
They’ve got more EIC, EBT, TANF, Section 8, Obamphones, subsidized cable, Medicaid, etc than ever and they’re thrilled.
What would Frederick Douglass think? /s
