By DEAN SCHABNER Feb. 3, 2013

A man is under arrest in connection with the killing of two men at an Erath County, Texas, gun range, police said.

One of the victims is former Navy SEAL and "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle.

"We have lost more than we can replace. Chris was a patriot, a great father, and a true supporter of this country and its ideals. This is a tragedy for all of us. I send my deepest prayers and thoughts to his wife and two children," "American Sniper" co-author Scott McEwen said in a statement to ABC News.

ABC affiliate WFAA-TV in Dallas reported that Kyle and a neighbor of his were shot while helping a soldier who is recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome at a gun range in Glen Rose.

Truly sad and tragic. Prayers lifted upward. I know it is not appropriate to even think this at the moment, but the timing and frequency of these gun related events may suggest conspiracy or manipulation of events.

Eddie Routh Information

Investigators believe Routh, a former Marine, turned his weapon on Kyle and the second victim before fleeing the scene.

Update: Some more information:

The motive of the shooting remained unclear, Bryant said. "Not a clue; absolutely no idea."

WFAA/Channel 8 quoted unnamed sources as saying that Kyle of Midlothian and a neighbor had taken Routh on an outing to help him deal with post-traumatic stress disorder. Routh turned on the men and shot them in the back, the report added.

Kyle is also famous for knocking loudmouth Jessie Ventura on his ass in a bar in front of a number of witnesses, although Venutra later denied it.

“Chris Kyle, a retired Navy SEAL and the U.S. military's most lethal sniper, was fatally shot Saturday along with another man on the gun range of Rough Creek Lodge, a posh resort just west of Glen Rose, Erath County Sheriff Tommy Bryant said.”

The gun range of Rough Creek Lodge is located about 77 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

Yes, it smacks of manipulation of the unstable at best.

Think Lee Harvey Oswald.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise, nor wealth to the discerning, nor favor to men of ability; for time and chance overtake them all.

Time for the return of public hangings.

“Kyle is also famous for knocking loudmouth Jessie Ventura on his ass in a bar in front of a number of witnesses, although Venutra later denied it.”

“... the SEALs were in the bar to mourn the loss of team member. They had gathered with the family of Medal of Honor recipient Mike Mansoor when Ventura made it known to many that he did not agree with the war. Kyle claims that he approached the former governor, and asked him to keep it down, informing Jesse that the family of the deceased was also with them.

That’s when Ventura unleashed more of his insensitive comments and Kyle reportedly countered with a one-punch knockdown.

Earlier this week, The Blaze featured a story about Chris Kyle and his autobiography that explains his amazing prowess with a rifle. We know now that Chris is also accurate with his fists and at close range.

Here’s the interview from the Opie and Anthony show on Wednesday. Chris Kyle explained the encounter with Jesse “the Body” Ventura.

(Content warning, this video contains what the Navy might call “salty language:”)

In all, he was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.

“I don’t care about the medals,” Kyle told the Star-Telegram in a 2012 interview. “I didn’t do it for the money or the awards. I did it because I felt like it was something that needed to be done and it was honorable. I loved the guys.”

A member of SEAL Team 3, Kyle picked off his targets from rooftops or windows of abandoned buildings during the 2003 war against Iraq, which toppled the Saddam Hussein regime. Primarily serving as a sniper and wounded twice, he provided “overwatch” protection for Marines and other U.S. troops and earned a reputation for his proficiency.

Most shots ranged from 200 to 1,200 yards. His longest, most remarkable kill — from 1.2 miles away — took out an insurgent aiming a rocket launcher at an approaching Army convoy.

This assasination smells of conspiriacy. Think about this when/if a resistance by “the people” comes. Would you want the best snipers on your side or agains’t you? Getting rid of a complete navy Seal team, yet another good patriot and all our strongest military leaders only supports what I think is being done. Remove the most serious resistance BEFORE they turn on you.

I’m assuming the following ready for trial on Aug. 1 means 2013 and not some year in the past....

**************

Kyle was sued by former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura over a portion of the book that claims Kyle punched Ventura in a 2006 bar fight over unpatriotic remarks. Ventura says the punch never happened and that the claim by Kyle defamed him.

Kyle had asked that Ventura’s claims of invasion of privacy and “unjust enrichment” be dismissed, saying there was no legal basis for them. But a federal judge said the lawsuit should proceed. Both sides were told to be ready for trial by Aug. 1.

‘Gun Violence’: The ‘National Conversation’ We Won’t Have

by William Norman Grigg

Recently by William Norman Grigg: The Civilian Disarmament Dialectic

Gabrielle Giffords, the “surprise witness” at the January 30 Senate hearing on gun violence, was among thirteen people attacked by a deranged gunman in the parking lot of a Safeway in Tucson two years ago. Vanessa Guerena, another Tucson resident whose husband was murdered in an act of gun-related criminal violence in their living room about four months later, was not given an opportunity to address the Senate panel. That’s because her husband’s killers – who remain at large – committed that crime under the color of state “authority.”

Guerena, a former Marine and Iraq combat veteran, was gunned down by a Pima County SWAT team who committed an illegal home invasion on the basis of a spurious search warrant. When the invaders arrived, Jose was asleep after finishing a graveyard shift at a local copper mine. It’s difficult to believe that the 26-year-old father of two would be working the graveyard shift if he had been at the center of a large marijuana smuggling operation, as the Pima County Sheriff’s Office later claimed on the basis of unalloyed speculation. ..

snip:

“After being shaken awake by his terrified wife, Jose grabbed a legally-acquired AR-15 rifle and told his wife and their four-year-old son, Jose, Jr., to hide in a closet while he confronted the unidentified intruders.

Within seconds of forcing their way into the home, the raiders – who were armed with high-capacity “assault weapons” of the kind that would be banned for civilian use if Obama, Biden, Feinstein and their ilk prevail – had flung 71 rounds at Guerena. In keeping with established custom, the uniformed murderers lied by claiming that their victim had fired the first shot after growling a cinematic imprecation at the SWAT team. It was later established that Jose didn’t even disengage the safety on his rifle. He was hit with twenty-two rounds. “

It certainly looks that way. However, connecting the dots is going to be extremely difficult. This, I believe, is not because the Obama administration is that clever. I think it is the powere behind obama and not the Soros types, but something on the order of a Frank Peretti novel.

"We have lost more than we can replace."

Amen to that. CPO Kyle was unique and very few can even walk in his footsteps. I am truly saddened.

This is sad news indeed. RIP Chris. May the Lord comfort his family. Watched him on “Stars Earn Stripes” last year. He was paired with Dean Cain.

Sad doy for all of America, I feel for your loss (if I read that right)

Just last week the You Tube weapons expert, Ratliff, was murdered. This is beginning to have the markings of Hitler, Stalin, and South American death squads.

Be afraid, be very afraid, but also be ready.
