A mother says her 5-year-old boy was threatened with suspension after he made a gun out of Legos during an after school program.
Sheila Cruz received a written warning recently about her son from the after school staff at the Hyannis West Elementary School because he had been using toys inappropriately.
She (the principal) said, its a threat to other children and other children could have been scared.
School officials say little Joe made the toy gun, then ran around the classroom, pointing it at other kids, and making shooting sounds.
Cruz says while she and her husband thought about a new school for Joseph, they dont think they will take the incident any further.
Its not the school we hate, its the actions the school took that we dont like, she said. They made it into something a lot bigger than it should have been.
The superintendent told WBZ-TVs Bill Shields they have a responsibility to make sure the children feel comfortable and not intimidated in school.
Were trying to create an atmosphere of respect, says Barnstable School Superintendent Mary Czajkowski.

I used to make guns out clothes pins when I was 5.
It is better to threaten a five year old than to let that five year old threaten with legos. - nope still not making sense. Guns are threatening so government workers must threaten imaginary guns. Nope still trying to figure out liberal logic. Guns of legos can lead to machine guns of legos - threats are bad so... scare the 5 yr olds so he won’t scare others ignoring your bad example... THis is giving me a head ache.

No wonder so many kids turn into fags.
This has to be one of those ‘everyone gets a trophy’ schools.
Is this one of the schools that is trying to get rid of giving grades? Aren’t bad grades uncomfortable and intimidating?
Wouldn’t want any one of those pansy kids thinking someone is smarter than they are.
At work today, someone asked the surgeon whose OR I was working in what time she would finish the surgery. She said, “I’m shooting for five o’clock”. Then she retracted that saying “whoops. I apologize everyone. I shouldn’t say that word or use that expression any more.”
What kind of world do we live in? Honestly...it’s depressing. I’d like a work-from-home job so I can just hide out all day.
It's the stupid teacher and system who has a problem.
Predatory authoritarianism in my opinion.
She (the lezbian principal) said “I’ll teach them how to use toys”.
We use to play cowboys and Indians or army during recess back in the day. Any stick or our fingers would be our guns and the sound of POW, POW, POW would reverberate throughout the playground.
In today’s world there would be no boys in elementary school, we would all have been suspended.
The children of today are becoming second generation brainwashed little puppets.
This is so much PC BS.
Hyannis is the the turd world country of Cape Cod! Thanks Dead Ted.

What scares me, and should scare every parent with child in that school is that these cretins are overseeing and influencing these young minds. This is the same methodology used to normalize homosexuality. Now they are doing the same with guns. Teach ALL the children that guns are so bad and scary that even a drawing or toy is terrifying and down the road banning guns and denying the Second Amendment is normal.
These so called educators are the scariest thing our children have to deal with in school.
(kidding!)
Sorry for double post!
Step #1...national registration of all owners of Lego items along with a 3 month long background investigation.
The enemy is arming their children with hatred for Americans and the desire to wear and die using suicide bombs. At eight years old they carry guns and know how to use them, eagerly anticipating the day they can kill Americans. We are punishing our children for the mere mention of guns and making a pretend Lego weapon.
Any responsible parent should have responded by going to the school and helping all the children build Lego guns. Because guns are only scary if just one is in the room.
Kids Discussing Toy Guns Cause School Lockdown, Heavily Armed Guards Called
A Bronx school was put on lockdown when two children were overheard talking about bringing a toy gun to school. Parents were told that they could not retrieve their children and were forced to wait for school officials to give the "all-clear."
It's an interesting question indeed. Imagine a child who grew up until adulthood without ever being scared. Then you release that adult into any typical city. What will happen to him? Or, to use different words, for how many minutes he will manage to stay alive? He has no fear of cars, for example.
