Boehner: We 'Basically Have an Agreement' on Immigration

With the re-election of Barack Obama in November – and with his heavy support in the Latino community -- the Republican Party has been openly considering what it can do to open up the Latino vote for conservative gains. For months, they’ve been talking about the possibility of comprehensive immigration reform. Now, according to House Speaker John Boehner, they’re on the verge of doing something about it.

On Tuesday, Boehner talking to the Ripon Society, Boehner said it was “time” to find an immigration solution:

I said it the day after the election. I meant it, and we’re going to have to deal with it. I think there’s a bipartisan group of members that have been meeting now for three or four years. Frankly, I think they basically have an agreement. I’ve not seen the agreement. I don’t know all the pitfalls in it, but it’s in my view, the right groups of members.

This is just an effort to divide and toss Boehner under the bus once again.

It does not take much effort. Bonehead has jumped under the bus himself before.

Boehner belongs under the damned bus.

Is he really stupid enough to believe that these people who he is willing to accept as legal will vote republican?

If he does he is a friggin moron.

Boehner is getting chapped lips kissing Democrats asses.
He isn’t alone though McCain is right there with him. So is Graham.

Boehner said he thought it was the right group of members. It’s not just Boehner, Ryan said we need immigration reform this am. It’s coming. They think this will help the Republican party......it will not. These new citizens won’t vote Republican.

And I basically have an agreement with myself to never again vote for or otherwise support another Republican (the rats of course already go without saying). Let them try to get their votes from their latest new pet constituency. I daresay they’ll do about as well as they have with the black voting bloc all these years.

This will force many Americans to become immigrants themselves and move to another country.

You are correct sir. As soon as I retire, I amG-O-N-ENice knowing all of you.

We are actually very close to seeing one of the larger Democrat coalition members do a major flip over to the Republican label, and Boehner wants to make it look like Republicans are going to let in more hispanics.

It won’t be this
When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections

What it all boils down to is they don’t have enough young folks here to keep the great Ponzi schemes going. They have to bring in new “investors”.

Immigrants are not automatic small-government conservatives. They come from paternalistic, quasi-socialist countries. Once they get here, they vote for the party that offers the most benefits. Guess who that is?

First-generation immigrants work hard — both parents around the clock. But their kids are left alone to grow up in a morally polluted and liberal culture, join gangs, and have babies out of wedlock.

The prescription for a permanent Demo-socialist majority.

GOP stinks. I’m sick of them buckling under to Dems.

My solution: IF EVER a person ILLEGALLY entered this country he shall NEVER, EVER be allowed to become a citizen of the USA NOR be allowed to VOTE in any US election. Not EVER. They can receive a work visa, work here, pay taxes, get a “special NON-Citizen” driver’s license but NEVER be able to use that for ID to vote.

Also, NEVER allow them to receive Soc. Security from our system, NOR any government handouts. Putting it simply, I don’t believe any parent would allow their children to starve. If they don’t like our rules, then go back to where you came from.

Also put an INSTANT end to Anchor Babies. End of Story.

I realize it’s not much of a threat, but if they give in to amnesty I’m changing my registration to ... well, I don’t know what, but not Republican.

You can't win votes by trying to out-Liberal the Liberals, Mr. Boner.

I'm for any deal on immigration that ensures that those who came here illegally NEVER HAVE A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP.

the Republican Party has been openly considering what it can do to open up the Latino vote for conservative gains.

As always, it's about buying votes - and protecting their own power and privilege. Not a word about how this affects "We the People", the actual citizens of the Untied States.
How much more is this going to burden the tax slaves so THEY can keep THEIR personal luxuries in Washington?

Why not just stop the illegals from illegally voting? Hello! Why not do something about vote fraud? Why not attach an ID to welfare cards and use them for voter ID? "The poor" have no problem getting their hands on those things!

The illegals shouldn't be voting anyway. Stop that, and the democrats would never win another election. The problem would be solved, and the American citizens would actually get a break for once.
