We the people have spoken.
I predict the show is toast forever.
Do the exhibitors get their fees back?
If you go to the NSSF website, you will see that NSSF subcontracts Reed to manage the SHOT Show. The language on the web site strongly suggests that the business relationship between the two may be changing soon to Reed’s detriment.
They are creating a wedge between gun owners.
“...they need to be taught they will have to fight us all together...”
Back in the 90s, when K-Mart teamed up with Rosie O’D and Slick Willie and his failed “assault weapons” nonsense, Americans who had shopped there - stopped shopping there.
Gun owners who had previously bought ammo and firearms there ALSO stopped spending money on sporting goods, on clothing, on school supplies, toilet paper, socks, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, toothpaste, mouthwash, Q-tips...etc., etc., and in the process hit them hard where it hurts. A bunch of K-marts went closed and went out of business. We shopped somewhere else.
When we stand up as a unified wall and make ourselves heard, those that want to take away our rights listen...and the weasels that sign on with them listen as well.
This guy chose to dance with political correctness. Let him pay the price.
I don’t believe in being polite to people who are trying to take my property and my rights. F*** ‘em.
Hey brother...
This is excellent news.
And BoA. And Walmart.
It wasn't just the "small" percentage. Some exhibitors that had committed to a lot of square footage pulled the plug, too.
Well, since the SHOT show is on now that train has left the station, but it’s likely to be the last Reed-managed SHOT show.
Gee, imagine this, boycotts do work.
“Too bad it had to come to this.”
It didn’t have to.
They just had to rescind the ban.
Instead, they stuck to a stupid decision, blamed everyone who objected, and stomped out the door.
Strange ideed, apparently this was not an issue last year or previous years, so why all of sudden this year...They ruined their own show, "We The People" are not responsible, as they conclude.
I can't say that I've met too many gun owners that support a new AWB or a high-cap mag ban. None, in fact, outside of a few disrupters on the web who really don't own any firarms anyway. Most people remember the incrementalism of the '70s and '80s and how campaigns against "Saturday night specials" (whatever they were) and "crime guns" (whatever those were) were transmogrified into sweeping bans on hundreds of popular firearms. We won't get fooled again.
Gun owners stumbled badly in the last election. If 60 million gun owners had voted for romney, the kenyan vulture would have lost in a landslide, even with his fraudulent voters.
On FB - Reed refunding fees!!
http://mynortheastoutdoors.com/reed-exhibitions-to-refund-all-fees-paid-to-date/
According to posts on the facebook page on the boycott, https://www.facebook.com/BoycottTheEasternSportsAndOutdoorShow?ref=ts&fref=ts, folks are receiving emails stating there will be refunds.
Sirius Lee ~:” Maybe they shouldn’t have made the emotionally charged decision to ban certain rifles from the show.
Complete non-apology weasel wording. “
The show has alienated sportsmen everywhere ; their weasel wording and not taking responsibility for their decision to prevent showing of certain sporting rifles.
The show producers ignore the second amendment ~ typical libturd mentality !!
Time to take it to the producers : GIECO , GE Capital, and COMCAST
Cancell ,..Cancell , ..Cancell !
Show them that the Constitution matters !!
A lot of folks who should have known better assumed that Obama was not interested in a fight over guns. I had knock-down-drag-outs with Zero supporters who insisted that “Obama isn’t going to take our guns, he’s had four years to do it it hasn’t, the climate for guns is better under Obama than under Bush, stop being paranoid, etc, etc.”
Unadulterated BS in its most purified form.
