Senate hearing: 9:00a.m. EST. House hearing: 2:00 p.m. EST
Watch live here. Also on C-SPAN 3.
In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.
Shut up Corker! This is playing out as a praise of Hillary fest!
Thanking her for transparency even before she opens her mouth.
Sen. Corker R-TN just droning on and on, kissing Hilliary’s butt, now SHE speaks, wearing studious glasses and horrible hair in a green suit starts her blethering.
Disgusting filth she is.
The biggest question of the day:
Will the democrats and republicans be able to squeeze all their praise of Hillary and the “fantastic job she has done” into only one day?
Her face looks like my left one after surfing
The prostitute stiffing, illegal alien hiring Menendez, could have pontificated just a bit longer.../s
Someone tell Hitlery St. Paddy’s Day is still a month and a half away.
After these long winded opening statements it will be determined that her time is up. No questions may be asked.
Corker has to act that way..as the ranking member..can’t attack right off the gun..the one to watch is Graham..she is speakign as I write..will she mention the video tape..the lies..?
Following morning in rosé garden with pres spoke of terrorism. The re-invention of Benghazi is being completed.
you put glasses on your left one ?
..not that there is anything wrong with dat
Notice how she recuperated with Bill during the interim. Probably, he was instructing her on how to respond with selective amnesia.
I dont recall.
I dont remember.
I have no recollection of that.
I plead the 5th.
It depends on what the meaning of is is.
To look sincere, occasionally bite your lower lip.
If all else fails, feign a faint.
Looked like Rand Paul was bored to death!
Avogadro's Number to one.
Looking at her face and forehead for wrinkles.
She’s had work done.
That hospital and home stay were about cosmetics.
Now she is choking up!
Hillary got a twofer with the Rice deal ... no way she was talking about Benghazi and lying her fat derriere off which of course is what Rice did (skinnier, but lying all the same) when they sent her out there on the Sunday shows AND she scotched Rice’s plan/ambition to be SOS. Obama put Rice in as UN Ambassador over Hillary’s objection and put the position back to a cabinet level. Sending Rice out there was payback ..... worked out perfectly .... Rice was ruined for the SOS job and Hillary didn’t have to face questions until now, after her ‘tragic’ brain injury which I’m sure has affected the Benghazi lobe of her gray matter.
she tried to cry...she really tried but alas....still a bitch
Tears from Hillary.........this is nothing but a Bon voyage party for Hill.
