The problem is, there are probably 10 that will enforce new gun laws for every one that will look the other way, and you have no idea of knowing which one will do what.
He’s right. The military, and police, how they are currently comprised will not follow orders to round up weapons, and go against their fellow countrymen.
However, I am also very much aware that a volunteer military and a police force, that are slowly being transformed away from those ideals will not be a military and police force that will always protect those ideals.
And I don’t think a police force that shoots labs and Chihuahuas is one that concerns itself with Constitutional rights.

A Peace Officer in the next town over leads our Oath Keepers group. He has told us that local LEO’s will NOT obey unlawful orders to confiscate firearms.

I really don’t think there are too many local lawmen down here in Texas that will try to carry out Obama’s gun-grabbing dictates. If there are indeed a handful, well, let’s just say I really don’t expect them to last very long. That is, in terms of “breathing.”
If you know a military officer or enlisted person, remind them of their oath, and ask them to be true to it.
The oath is not term-limited, but for life. It does not "expire when you retire." Their oath is to the Constitution...the freedom of their countrymen. That law stands above every other, and above every military regulation, directive, memo, or the direct order of a superior.
This oath embodies the one thing that taxpayers have been paying them for all through their careers.
Similarly, if you know an officer of the law, ask them to be true to their oath, and to study what the original words of the Constitution say, and what those words mean.
For anyone who has sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, obeying any directive to restrict, in any way, the rights of the people to own and carry firearms, is a direct violation of the Constitution, and of their oath.
Those who would ignore the meaning of the Second Amendment do so not just at risk of retaliation from those whose rights they are attacking, but criminal punishments at the hand of future courts who could very easily prosecute them and impose serious penalties.
Today's dictator may seem secure in his little oval office. But if that man is ever out of the White House, a future Administration could turn the gun control movement against those who attempt to impose it today.
And those of us who respect and Cherie's not only our own rights, but the rights of our countrymen, should insist that any and all future administrations punish any law enforcement officer, any military officer or enlisted person, any politician, and any other current or former government official who violates his oath to protect and defend the Constitution by participating in any current or future restriction of the Second Amendment, in any way. We, as Americans, must loudly proclaim that when Obama is finally swept from power, in whatever way it happens, that we will INSIST the any and all future governments prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, anyone and EVERYONE who participates in robbing Americans of their rights.

They’ll enforce whatever their told to enforce. Most couldn’t tell you the First Amendment from the Second Amendment to the Fifth Amendment.
All one has to do is go on Youtube and watch all the video from Katrina. Showing National Guard troops talking never thinking they’d have to confiscate guns from citizens. But there they were. In direct violation of the oath’s they took.

The trick is evading the law. If your a law enforcer and you don’t want to get fired you do your job but you do it in the way that insures failure for reasons you fail to report.
Like it or not military type organization such as our modern police forces are what our forefathers would have termed a standing army.
What that means is that theses organizations host military type structure’s designed to strip its members of their individual judgement in-favor of somewhat blind obedience to the command structured(IE State). It is true that we required them to take an oath, but in practice as has been demonstrated many times over our history. The oath will at best only slow the progress of tyranny. It will not even come close to halting it.
I hope for the sake of the USA that Nugent has the straight info, but I doubt he can include cops that try to tell me my pellet rifle is covered by a non-existent local code.
Big deal, all ammo has sold out. I have a friend who has been waiting for Walmart to restock their ammo for weeks. The store managers said they don’t have much on hand. My friend asked why don’t they stock up on ammo. He said the corporation won’t let them stock up and is holding ammo from the stores pending coming changes in the law.
I keep telling my friend to quit Walmart and stock up on gunshows. I haven’t been to a gun show since the NY school shooting but I hear ammo is in scant supply.
I think I read here a day or two ago that some police departments are low on ammo and can’t getting their orders filled right now so they are cutting back on marksmanship training. Stunning.
