Retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal called for serious gun control measures on Tuesday, saying the weapons used by his troops in Afghanistan dont belong on the streets of America. McChrystal said the M4 Carbine he often carried in the military held a .223 caliber round capable of doing devastating damage to a human body.
Its designed to do that, and thats what our soldiers ought to carry, McChrystal said on MSNBCs Morning Joe Tuesday morning. I personally dont think theres any need for that kind of weaponry on the streets and particularly around the schools in America."

That, or he’s a successful lobbyist who excels at memo-writing, politicking with the right politicians, punches the right tickets, and made sure the troops under his command looked good on inspection. Not everyone rises based on merit.
I acknowledge that and agree...
However, my point was, the full-auto M-4’s and M-16’s the troops use would be illegal to own in the USA...due to being new production. Am I reading the 1986 law correctly?

Your vocalized input on the matter of my Constitutional Rights, (which by the way, you swore an Oath to defend and protect - with no expiration date I might add), has been duly noted, and has been downloaed to the nearest galactic circular bit bucket for future reference.
The Second Amendment expresses the basic right for self-preservation against any form of tyrannical, traitorous government, like the one towards that you are adjoining yourself.
