Monday's meeting of the Capistrano Unified School District A school board should offer more fireworks than usual. At the meeting, Stan Wasbin, a father of four, plans to voice his complaint that local schools are becoming "re-education camps" because of an excessive focus on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues, reports the San Juan Capistrano Patch. Wasbin, a resident of the seaside suburb of San Clemente, asked in a three-page letter that his concerns about the supposedly agenda-driven politicization of the school curriculum be placed on the official board agenda.
Both the curriculum and Wasbin's missive come in response to a new California law obligating social science classes to include the historical role played by gay, lesbian, bisexuals and transgender people. ÂIn our public schools, we want our children to learn math, music, science, English, art, American history and a foreign language ..suggested that the politicization of public school curricula could ultimately lead to consequences that would be undesirable for LBGT leaders. ÂToday, the state political winds blow from the left; but tomorrow, they could blow from the right, and then our children may be forced to learn about the role and contributions of other groups, such as gun owners, death-penalty proponents and anti-abortion advocates. Do we really want to politicize public education ...Wasbin said, according to Patch. In addition, Wasbin wants school district officials to provide details about how schools will implement the new law. His solution, according to his letter, is to introduce a voluntary course of LGBT study that could take place before or after school. California's Capistrano Unified School District enrolls more than 51,000 students. It's the second largest school district in Orange County, the 12th largest in California and the 82nd largest in the United States.

As in poker, the best way to win at this mess is to double down. Get most kids to all dress up in fancy costumes for school and just misbehave all day as their favorite sexual character from TV. After a month of this...the school will stand up and admit this openness on sex wasn’t a bright idea, and start to implement fairly conservative changes.
If you are wondering why schools aren’t teaching that much anymore....it’s mostly because kids, teachers, and special interest groups have taken it to a level where it’s all just a playground, and not much else.
Did we need these laws to teach about the contributions of Oscar Wilde, Walt Whitman, or Socrates?
How else do you expect gays to reproduce?
They’ve adopted the time-tested techniques of your average child molester. That is to get in their heads, wear them down until they are vulnerable enough to then get their clothes off and make him/her “one of them”.
Well, since California passed a law mandating that homosexual and trans/whatever history be taught, the schools will say their hands are tied and that they have to teach this stuff.
And I’m sure the liberal extremists will denounce this guy as homophobic and all that. You are not allowed to question the politicization of education, when such politicization is for an officially recognized liberal aggrieved group such as homosexuals.
Most of the school board will probably be sitting on their thumbs....
Well, they never talked about the “orientation” of these people in the past. Now the “orientation” is all the liberals want to talk about.
It’s one thing to talk about someone who has made historic contributions, and that person happened to be homosexual or trans or bi sexual or whatever. It’s another altogether to celebrate diversity by trumpeting these orientations as good and “gay” or whatever, which is what liberals do with the LGBT peoples.
Somebody jokes that white men are a maligned group anymore, unless such white men happen to be homosexual. Then such men are celebrated due to their homosexuality.
While homeschoolers are not personally subjecting their children to this indoctrination, they should still be active in attempting to eliminate it from the government schools. Better would be to work for the complete shut down of government schools and complete separation of school and state.
We are the majority. We -- meaning those of us who despise liberalism, despise government tyranny, and despite the biased MSM -- just don't know it. Yet.
Go Mr. Wasbin. It’s time somebody stood up for the children
Sitting on their thumbs, then popping first one and then the other in their mouths, and then sitting on each one in turn ~ repetitively all day long.
Public school is child abuse.

Private schools or home schooling is really the only option. Indoctrination was in full force during the Obama campaign, and they get away with anything and everything. Our children are sitting ducks. This is only what we find out about.

Does anyone know what percentage of jobs in our governing bodies, academia, the media and entertainment is populated right now by homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and the transgendered? I would really like to know because I think it is big.
Excellent point! Truly excellent. The work and contributions that great artists and thinkers have made to society are already being taught. The day that we need “Jewish studies” to learn about Einstein - or Jerome Kern - or “Black studies” to learn about Scott Joplin, we are in big trouble.
Two of my granddaughters go to school in San Clemente. The school district should spend more time trying to reduce class sizes.
And Orange County, CA used to be a bastion of conservatisim in the State.
I wish him luck, but he needs to step back and see the big picture: so-called public schooling is the enemy, and trying to exert a culturally “conservative” influence on a school is like softly begging a Trotskyist to temper his rhetoric for the children.
CA schools have been inadequate, dumbed down and ineffective for decades...this is just another step.
I happen to be a product of said schooling...to this day, my father wishes he had put us in private schools.
