Official White House photographer Pete Souza posted the White House's best photos of 2012 this morning.
It includes some fantastic shots from President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, as well as new photos of the president's response to the tragedy in Newtown, Conn., and of the fiscal cliff negotiations in the White House.
We've grabbed 71 of the White House's 2012 selections. Souza's captions are in italics below the photos.

""A candid portrait of the President during a meeting, juxtaposed with the paintings of
Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, busts of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Abraham Lincoln, and the Emancipation Proclamation. It's a difficult angle to get because I had to sit in front of the closed Oval Office door and hope that no one would open the door and knock me over.""

""Denis McDonough, Deputy National Security Advisor, left, updates the President and Vice President on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and Chief of Staff Jack Lew are at right.""

Without actually clicking on the link, I’m going to make a prediction: 71 basic headshots of Barack Hussein Obama, from slightly different angles. Over and over and over.
Dazzling!!

No sure why this is on Free Republic . . . are we supposed to be impressed by this Kenyan-born illegal alien’s charades in our White House. Really?

Thank God Almighty I don’t subscribe to this POS! Sounds like the writer worked with Barry in a South Side glory-hole!

Simply "dazzling." The president wipes down after a supporter accidentally spills frozen yogurt on him.
I'm not sure if the image will appear after posting. Nothing shows on preview but this is beyond dazzling, it is a critical example of how nothing sticks to this guy.

No sure why this is on Free Republic . . . are we supposed to be impressed by this Kenyan-born illegal aliens charades in our White House. Really? The crowd on FR is hard to impress, so how about looking for clues about Dear Leader's charades?
The Obamites are having a proud moment of gloating, they might slip up and go bumppity bump. (The MSM wouldn't notice)

Remember all the Goebbels-like photos of Hitler on the "patio" of his mountain top retreat, "Berchtesgaden"?
Hitler dapper in German mountaineers hat with feather, Hitler hugging his huge dog, the spectacular view of the German Alps in the background, Hitler surrounded by adoring aides and generals in mufti, Eve Braun, hovering like a good little prop in her fetching German dirndl costume, Hitler receiving famous guests and celebrities, Hitler patting little incipient nazis on the head, Hitler joking around with a corpulent Goering.....
....well, propaganda by camera has not changed a wit since then....only the backdrops.
