Thanks for the list of wonderful songs! I'm listening to them now as I browse the Global City Webcams and watch the New Year arrive around the world. I just cannot take watching it on TV with all the liberal commentary such as "I wonder if the Republicans will cause another Hurricane Sandy in 2013 or if maybe they will see the light" blah blah blah.

Outside tonight, it sounds a lot like it did during my time in Iraq. LOUD reports of fireworks all around the neighborhood. The kitties are freaking and geeking, too.

As I sit here in the comfort and love of my new family, I am reminded of where I was a year ago tonight. This past year has been so full of blessings that I can't begin to enumerate them all.

Topping the list is of course, The Bride.

And the list includes all the new madcap FRiends I've made this year (you know who you are). I am glad for each and every one of you.

Well, let's take a cup of kindness for Auld Lang Syne tonight. Sarge will be in the area, so Let's Have Fun!

2012, for me an annus horribilis, is history!

Work went well, thanks very much! I was in consult with my Team Leader for much of the day QCing my work. I'm new on this project and the project is over a year old - there is a lot of team knowledge to assimilate. It went well, but very time consuming.

We're at 36F now and it looks like it will not dip below freezing tonight.

I'm drinking Korbel Brut this evening - a reliable California Champagne. I may dip into the Glenmorangie before the night is over.
