CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I found it astonishing. Here he is -- coming out to speak to the nation at a crucial moment -- in very delicate negotiations and he comes out there with incredible arrogance. He ridicules the Congress, he spikes the football on the Republicans. He rubs in the fact that they were resisting a raise in rates and he made them do it. And of course, as always, he places himself hovering benignly at an Olympian level above the fray, where the children are playing in the sand box and he's asking that everybody be reasonable as if he just arrived in Washington on a tourist visa.
And then he goes into detail. What he basically says, 'I'm giving the Republicans zero on spending. And I mean zero, not even discretionary spending. This is after he killed a proposal from the Minority Leader in the Senate for the tiniest of changes in entitlements, change in the cost of living index, which is essentially a technical change. So that's rejected out of hand. So he's saying tax hikes all in rates, no cuts in spending. And worse than that, after all of this is done, after I shoved all this down your throats, when we negotiate later for spending cuts -- which Republicans imagine they're going to get -- no, it's not going to happen that way.
If there are going to be any spending cuts in the future, there's going to have to be an increase -- a further increase in taxes on the rich, of course, it's always the millionaires that will balance out those spending cuts. So, he laid out a radically oppositionist position, gleefully. I think he wants to go over the cliff and dare the Republicans to take the blame.

Gotta love Saul Alinsky. That guy was one smart dude. It’s just a shame his brilliant strategies, schemes, and “rules” are only allowed to be used by the scumbag Democrats. If only conservatives weren’t prohibited from using them!

He fancies himself a dictator and indeed, he is. All we can do is hang tough and prove that PAYBACKS ARE A BITCH.
In reality he is a petty, small minded racist with dilusions of grandure.
At least Kruthammer noticed. No one else in the media seemed to. I was about to throw a rock through the TV set.
What do we all expect? He’s a communist and he’s having the time of his life bringing down the United States of America as his associates, teachers, and idols have been planning and striving for for decades.

Please don't give this new Hitler Obama any ideas! I'm over 60, so I know your pain. He issues an executive order doing away with seniors and his social security problem is solved. I wouldn't put it past him to try.
No dictator EVER had a media on his side like the U.S. news media, a media that is this evil , this leftist , this corrupt, this effective, this powerful , this pervasive and with this technology.
Truer words were never said. Why is there no one on our side willing to risk whatever it costs to infiltrate and even for 5 minutes get he truth put there? What KOOLAID did they all drink?

Krauthammer is a fair weather friend and anti-Second Amendment - sort of.
I would not be surprised if there are written ‘necessary regulations’ on both Sibelius’ and 0bama’s desks to ‘walk through and eliminate’ entire nursing and retirement homes’ populations ‘for the safety of the community’ or under other such perverse language.
I am serious. What exactly is their downside?
This crap is already happening in some European countries. Policy is to not assist elderly in nursing homes who are not well. Even to the point of denying food and water, because well, they’re old and dying anyway. Coming here someday. A new regulation here, another there, and before you know it, is standard policy. No downside if the media is on his side.
