Port Authority cop Jeffrey Haner was busted on possession of two illegal assault weapons, including the same type of Bushmaster rifle used in the Newtown massacre, authorities said.
Ramsey, NJ, police said they took a total of 10 weapons from Haner after his wife asked for a temporary restraining order.
The 41-year-old cop, who works at the George Washington Bridge and made $175,000 last year, also had eight legal guns, including two handguns, Ramsey police said.
But Haners .223-caliber Bushmaster and Chinese-made Norinco rifle were fitted with accessories including flash suppressors that made them illegal assault weapons under New Jersey law, police said.
He was charged on Dec. 21 with two counts of possessing an assault weapon without a permit, police said. The maximum penalty for each charge is five years in prison.

The ME’s presser said he used the .223 for all murders; handguns never used. The long gun in the trunk was a shotgun. I posted vid of cops racking-out shells.
My 12/29 post:
According to the MEs presser, he used to AR-15 to do all the killings. They found another long gun in the trunk. Look at the shells being racked-out; looks like 12ga.
This article says he had the AR-15 and 2 handguns w/ him, and a shotgun was found in the car:

Heres the vid of the long gun in the mothers cars trunk:

It’s still so convoluted as to what he used to kill all those people with. The MSM never gets anything right the first time nor several times later. Some say handgun some say the .223 was in the trunk of his car.
And some news reports said that the .223 was in the trunk or slung on his back. Who’s to say what anymore?
The media reports are all over the place on this. A coroners report stated that the victims had gunshot wounds from a high powered rifle.
And did those flash suppressors and other accessories make those weapons more deadly?
Would their removal have made it ‘safer’ to be shot by them?
Okay, I suppose. The ME would be the correct source.
It’s so sad that the MSM has to go all over the place just to scoop another source. And lie continually over it.
I am going to go with the coroner and the chief of police during the news conference. Plus....that is way too many shots per person to have been the handgun.
The reports say he left the rifle in the car, but the kids were killed by rounds from the Bushmaster.
Did he have a 30 round clip???
Hed be more them happy to enforce the same law that just got him.Yes, he would. Not only that, his wife was happy with the privileges provided to a cop's spouse...until she wanted to get rid of him. She's probably getting it with one of his partners.
Also, the first responders.....the first officers said when they entered the school...they heard automatic weapon fire..they knew it was a high powered rifle. The sound is entirely different. Especially to their trained ears...it would have been to mine also. Though not trained as they are.
Not in New Jersey.
So you are saying that he had fully automatic machine gun?
Interesting.

I am saying he killed everyone with the bushmaster. Not the handgun. This is per the coroner and the police chief..and the first responders. They knew exactly what they were hearing when they heard it. I would too. There is no doubt.
They were semi auto pistols as was the rifle. They could not have heard automatic fire... there were no autos there.

Pretty much standard procedure. It gets the name on the NICS register, which is what they really want to do. That guy will have to go on a waiting list to purchase any kind of gun, anywhere in the USSA. For the rest of his life.
Clip? What’s a “clip?”
That .22 stuff is for plinkers.
