The media reports are all over the place on this. A coroners report stated that the victims had gunshot wounds from a high powered rifle.

A .223 is not a high powered rifle... it is actually one of the smallest calibers available... there are some .17 caliber varmint rifles and a few other rare small calibers but the .223 compared to a 30-06 or a .308 is a pop gun caliber. There are many calibers above those two that are far more powerful and are used in hunting Bear and Elk. If they lie about that... they will lie about anything... and they do. Trust no one.
