Also, the first responders.....the first officers said when they entered the school...they heard automatic weapon fire..they knew it was a high powered rifle. The sound is entirely different. Especially to their trained ears...it would have been to mine also. Though not trained as they are.

The shooter had a 5.56x45, small caliber, fairly low power semi-automatic rifle.
