President Obama on Sunday said he would make gun control a priority in his new term, pledging to put his "full weight" behind passing new restrictions on firearms in 2013.

"I'm going to be putting forward a package and I'm going to be putting my full weight behind it," Obama said in an interview aired on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"I'm going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again."

Heck Saddam Hussein couldn’t even last long on the run against the modern association tracking software that is available now.

Heck, the entire US military might can't control Iraq and Afghanistan. Compare and contrast to the size of Texas.

I'm not going to worry about it. When it's my time, it's my time. God will surely know His own.

From the former Constitutional militia leader who broke Fast n Furious scandal:

“Whatever bill passes, if it passes, and it contains any of the above we are obliged to disobey it — obnoxiously and flagrantly. If they ban hi-cap magazines, we must make more, sell existing ones openly; if they ban private sales, we must hold our own no-check gun shows; if they ban even one type of semi-auto military pattern rifle, we must build our own “assault weapons” in contravention of the odious act. We must anger the powers that be to the point where THEY come at US. No Fort Sumters on our part. Let them kill us if they want to work their will upon us. After that, and only after that, it becomes the time of 4th Generation Warfare and One Hundred Heads.
And, although this is not the way to bet, if we make all that plain ahead of time, perhaps they will get the message and back off. May God grant it to be so.”

If Zero attempts an executive order, that will go over even better.

Actually, never more than about 3% of the colonists were under arms. In the case of gun owners, thats around 1.5 million. But let’s be generous and say only .3% of gun owners would resist. (of course, at the time and place of their choosing)
Thats about 150,000, scattered here, there, who knows where? The IRA at it’s height never had ore than a fre hundred actually under arms.
They tied up the British for decades though they had mastery of the air, the sea around the isles, the SAS and Army operating freely.

You are worrying too much, looking for a general Washington.

And as for the old saw that people gave up weapons after hurricane katrina, remember something. That was something unique and not hostilities. In the back of every mind there, there was a huge natural disaster and arriving police and guardsmen were rescuers. Nothing but a sheer lunatic would have shot it out with them as they arrived in boats, searching for trapped people. And though illegal and misguided, people being rescued always knew the hurricane wasn’t sent in as a pretext to grab guns. They knew there was no nationwide gun grab.
If the Coast Guard rescues you at sea, they might sink your derelict boat as a hazard to navigation. Weird things happen during disasters that would never be tolerated in normal times. And people have a well tuned sense on what a real disaster or emergency is.

Katrina is a very poor example of how Americans would act if the president orders registration or a turn in. Apples, oranges.

If there’s a confiscation action, perhaps an “example” for the community or neighborhood, it would be feds do the raid, state police provide security, local police put out further on the perimeter. They do an example full on SWAT raid to spread fear, then say to rest of folks turn in guns. Rewards provided to those who snitch on folks with firearms.

If the confiscation goes bad, and there is a shoot out, homeowner(s) dead, than it opens up a guerrilla war on a national level. While the illegal actions of those above entities conducting that raid in that area should be included in the range cards, it shouldn’t be every police dept across the nation, many will hold to their oaths. It’s better served to do a targeted flush of the planners, enablers behind all this, PERHAPS minimizing a full blown bloody civil war which might give the tyrants pause... also while police depts including all support staff should be warned in variety of ways, harassment, phone calls to home, etc. Fed level security forces are more apt to be loyal to regime, their leadership also needs to be “tweaked” throughout the country.

“The anti-Romneys campaigned tirelessly here and everywhere. They are as much to blame for this mess as the Obama vote fraudsters and the Obama legitimate voters.”

Agree!

I wonder how they’ll feel after 0bama stacks the Supreme Court with at least 2 more Socialists/Communists/Marxists?

IMO, it’s pretty much over for the America we once knew.

Am I surrendering?

HELL NO!

Hunting....it's not just a way to fill the freezer..It's a matter of national security.

Hunting is also a primary source of revenue for many states and localities. Take away the guns, the revenue does not exist.

About whitetail hunting

Snips:
. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service estimated that there were more than 10 million big game hunters aged 16 or older in 2006.

. Deer hunting in the United States generated more than $10 billion in revenue in 2001, according to the International Agencies of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. This money helped local economies as well as provided support for ongoing wildlife management.

Remember. The first rule of fight club is that you don’t talk about fight club.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm torn between rallying up the troops and keeping my danged-fool mouth shut. I mean, I want everyone with an ounce of sense to be aware and ready, but I also don't want to draw too much attention to my own angry self.

There's that assumption that everyone will cower at home waiting.

Some of us have restless feet and roam. Heck, some of us sleep on the shed roof during certain parts of the year because a)we can, and like sleeping under the stars, b)we save money on the air conditioning in the house.

All the flash-bangs, SWAT teams, etc... aren't going to do any good on an empty box. I'm not even sure they could make the front parlor look much worse. Single guys are like that.

"We need some anti-confiscation legislation and some sheriffs and governors that will stand up to the gun grabbers. "

Voting with one's feet makes sense in the short to medium term.

Did you see who Romney appointed in Mass?

Nominate a liberal, and trash-talk conservatives, and you will always lose. Count on it.

Well, all I can say is that when the first round of Americans are killed resisting the government confiscation of guns, it just might wake the IDIOT America up enough to resist this government themselves. Many, many folks just do NOT believe this can happen here. I talk with them everyday.

The First Amendment is already gone.

Freedom of the Press has morphed into the Press erasing Freedom with their disinformation and wholesale support of Tyranny.

Political Correctness has taken a path into Outer Space with the Election of the One who cannot be criticized because of his skin color. Conservatives and Tea Party Supporters are now the 'crazy" people because they believe in The Rule Of Law, The Constitution, The Founder's Vision and a Limited Government not mired in Debt because the Treasury has been raided by the Takers. Cable TV Networks like Fox cannot compete and they actually provide a platform for Liberals to prove they are “fair and balanced”, although the Liberal Press will never give them credit for that. They are just like the go along to get along Republican Party.

The Rats will say and do anything to damage the GOP, but the GOP just sits there hoping that people will see through the chatter and lies. Look back to November 6th and see how that worked out for them.

Time for the GOP to start using the “C” word, Communist, when referring to the Democrat Party and its Leaders.

“Who's going to be making the payments on the new SUV or Silverado? Who's going to be paying the mortgage while they're off fighting the good fight?”

If there is war, no one will be making any payments on anything as the banking system won't be working anymore and businesses will be closed.

My house is paid for and so is my car - and so are my guns and ammo.
