Capitol Hill reporters on Twitter writing Speaker Boehner has dropped Plan B fiscal cliff vote tongiht after revolt from House Republican caucus. House will recess until after Christmas.
After raucus closed dooor House GOP meeting, Boehner says House has already passed bills to cut spending and taxes to avert fiscal cliff and the ball is the court of the Senate and President Obama.
Once enough of us get to that level, they'll start taxing us on gross sales.
Glad to see Boehner’s “Plan B” go down in flames due to lack of Republican support.
President JugEars was willing to have taxes go up on only the top 1% just to get the Republicans on record of supporting tax increases. Once you have gotten them to break their pledge and set the precedent, then they might as well raise taxes on “only the top 5%”, then “only the top 10%.”
Then they will come for the rest of us.
Thank goodness there are still enough Rs with spines to prevent Boehner’s cave on this.
The system is dysfunctional. Time to crash and burn it ASAP. Producers need to go on strike. Lil Barry and Ried will pay when the system goes belly up. When the cupboard is bare, they have nothing to hand out to the parasites. Lock and load.
From your keyboard to the ears of whatever House conservatives are willing to be counted. We only need 16 of them to withold their votes and deny him the position.
You mean they actually represented their constituents? Hard to fathom...
New speaker ? Please don’t tell me Eric Cantor is next in line
The Dow going down over 200 happens all the time. It happened the day after Obama was elected. When the 1st TARP vote was taken and failed, the Dow Dropped 500 immediately. The problem is that the government has too much control over the actions of the economy.
Okay, you do know this is FreeRepublic, not DummiesUnderground right?

What about the Restaurants and small businesses who make over $1 million a year? Plan B would have raised their taxes and they have a lot more people to fire. Don’t worry, Obama will cut your taxes for you.
That's even easier to fix.

Some millionaires may be on the edge, but there are a lot more businesses on the edge between $250,000 and $1 M.
This bill would have protected these smaller businesses, portrayed the GOP as compromising, and put the onus on the WH to compromise further with spending cuts.
Yes, what exactly is “far right”? What should this sinister faction have done tonight? Bob
Dems know they have to raise taxes on everyone in order to keep their entitlement crap going..you can tax rich people til oblivion and it still won’t solve the fact that we are BANKRUPT..so of course they want to raise taxes on everyone..anyone with an IQ above 5 knows that, but the Dems know their supporters are dumb as cockroaches who will just hear the word “Tax increase” and blame it on Republicans..Dems have something the GOP will never have, the media on their side..the media tells morons what to think, it was like that in 2008 and the same thing is happening again now. I learned my lesson on November 6th to trust that enough people will see the truth
I agree. The more the idiots out there are shielded from the real pain Obama wants to inflict on the country—the less they understand just what he’s doing.
Conservatives not only don't DO tax increases they don't DO class warfare either.
Bonner should of friggin’ known better!
Speaker Boehner is speaker of what? He can't even bring his caucus along.
Good thing the Democrats are central planners and they hadn't planned for Speaker FAIL!
If they had any brains, they would've jumped in and passed it. You'd have the Speaker and cronies voting with the Democrats to pass the Pelosi Plan.
It couldn't have happened to a better target. Boehner's boner.
Mark Levin reports Boehner is now resorting to threats about chairmanships. The Republican Central Planner is now unsurprisingly resorting to threats and punishment. What a leader?
Gee, with the elected House Republicans finally getting a spine, breathe the free air and continue in courage and vote for a new Speaker?
Far right, you mean like us Conservatives?
You do realize this is a Conservative site right?
Looks like it’s done the 38% fibo retrace. Now we’ll have to see. I say S&P 500 @ 666 (again) would be the ticket for a few months from now.
