a .223 caliber rifle is a HUNTING rifle, not an “assault weapon”.
You won’t get far with a .223 against automatic weapons.

Fox News called .223 a “high caliber” round. It is in fact pretty low as calibers go.

I have an AR-15 that uses .223 ammo. It is definitely not a hunting rifle. It is the same type used by the two homosexual DC snipers John Muhammad and Lee Malvo. It can do some damage.

a .223 caliber rifle is a HUNTING rifle, not an assault weapon.Sorry. I beg to differ:
.223 Bushmaster.
.223 Ruger Mini-14 Tactical.
Neither is meant to be used as a hunting rifle. There are better choices for hunting. Game that is.

An M-16, cal .223 (Nato 7.62mm) is most surely an assault weapon.

Like it or not, the exact phrase “assault weapon” was concocted and accepted by society to mean “military-styled large-capacity semiautomatic gun”, not to be confused with “assault rifle”. It’s in the modern popular lexicon. Get used to it. Getting pedantic just irritates most people.
