Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother dead and targeted her kindergarten class at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., sources sais. Sources also told The Post that Lanza's mother was a teacher at the school and he "had a dispute with her."
Lanza is dead inside the school.
Lanza used two handguns and a .223-caliber assault rifle, an official said. The official also said that New Jersey state police are searching a location in connection with the shootings.
Police in Hoboken, NJ are questioning Lanza's older brother Ryan, 24, but he is not a suspect.

I must say the timing couldn't have been more perfect for the Obaminusts.
What I think we should keep a close eye on are these early unfiltered reports about a second shooter. Would a globalist black op include a tag-along "motivator"...seen by multiple witnesses who are ignored once big brother gets involved ? Seems to happen again and again. Someone took a phone call and let the Colorado shooter into the theater then disappeared, for instance. All the reports of a grassy knoll shooter, or the third guy at OKC....Is all of this the fingerprint of a hidden hand ?
Means-Motive-Opportunity...The globalist cabal have all three.
Beg to differ. For varmint and/or predator hunting, .223 or 5.56mm is not uncommon. Furthermore, the same thing that makes some tactical rifles good in warfare, is what makes them good for hunting: Accuracy, power, light weight, maneuverable. A lot of guys hunt with AR-15 variants, though sometimes chambered for calibers larger than 5.56 depending on type of game.
I bet this kid was on anti depressants, and quit taking them. I’m also wondering if he was a homosexual.
Do you have a screen shot? Can’t access.
I’ve come across folks who grew up in the 1940s and 1950s....where it took a simple petition from five people...going to a county judge, to invoke an examination, and immediate removal to a state institution. The minute you had a small group agreed on an individual being a threat to themselves or to anyone...a judge would react. This all disappeared in the 1970s as everyone felt that state mental institutes were the wrong place to send mentally ill people. They ought to be medicated and sent home.
My own personal opinion is that the med game works barely half the time, and on any given day....there are 250k people walking around the US who would kill you or your family members if you said the wrong thing to them. Some are permanently messed up....some are on PCP/meth...some are simply deranged. If five people signed a petition...some judge ought to invoke a safety rule to push the individual into seven days of mandatory review. If the judge can’t be sure after that review...you get 60 days of mandatory attention at a facility.
Taking away rights? Yeah...if you can’t control yourself...you lose rights (at least in my book).
I am not insane, I am angry. I killed because people like me are mistreated every day. I did this to show society, push us and we will push back. ... All throughout my life, I was ridiculed, always beaten, always hated. Can you, society, truly blame me for what I do? Yes, you will. ... It was not a cry for attention, it was not a cry for help. It was a scream in sheer agony saying that if you can't pry your eyes open, if I can't do it through pacifism, if I can't show you through the displaying of intelligence, then I will do it with a bullet.
Glad I’m not the only one who’s heard of varmint hunting!
Point being, any legal weapons are not the same as military grade weapons. A M1A is nothing like a PSG-1 or a military sniper rifle, and a .223 is not going to be close to an M4.
The media is trying to make it sound like this guy had access to military grade weapons from the local gun-shop, which is a lie.
You really think a lot of DC lobbyists are from the game industry?
Also, the popularity of first-person shooters pretty much matches a steady decline in violent crimes and murders. If anything, violent video games are reducing crime.
They should check the supply of bath-salts.
An M-16, cal .223 (Nato 7.62mm) is most surely an assault weapon.
Indeed they do.
Remington VTR .223
He wasn't white.
Note to self, “think before posting”. I meant 5.56 Nato. Sorry for looking like an a$$.
According to Matt Brackeh, it’s a federal caliber. I dunno if he made that up, but it sounded good in his book! If, in fact, he DID have a federal-caliber Glock, there’s a lot more ‘splainin’ to do.
Just curious ... Have you ever, in your entire life, actually touched any rifle, pistol, or shotgun?
I respectfully disagree that the caliber of a bullet is enough to classify it as such.
The M1A is based off of the M14, but I think if anybody tried to classify it as a military grade “assault weapon”, they would be disingenuous.
Reportedly a Bushmaster M4gery in the trunk of a car. Glock and SIG 9mm pistols on his person.
Like it or not, the exact phrase “assault weapon” was concocted and accepted by society to mean “military-styled large-capacity semiautomatic gun”, not to be confused with “assault rifle”. It’s in the modern popular lexicon. Get used to it. Getting pedantic just irritates most people.
