What the heck is going on in Texas? Been reading a lot lately about this bovine scatology going on in Texas schools.
According to excerpts, under the heading, “Who Is Allah?,” students are told:
“Allah is the Almighty God.”
“Allah alone is the Creator. He alone deserves our devout love and worship.”
Muhammad is described as having become “disillusioned with the corruption in the city and the growing gap between the urban dwellers and the Bedouins (nomadic herders).”
But there is no mention of his documented sex activities with a child or his penchant for beheading entire indigenous people groups.
What do you know about this?
This idea that Texas is the great hope is a bit over blown I belive. They’ve got some serious problems too.
What is this POS doing in the school systems?
Islam is a war plan.
This material about Islam is separate from text books. Our text book elected members have always been strong Christians and that is reflected in the scrutiny they give text books.
If this material is left up to school boards to use or not, conservative counties will dump it.

OK, CSCOPE is used by 70% of the districts. Chalk one up for meaningless facts.
CSCOPE is a curriculum management system. Into this system, a school system will insert various curriculum items to meet their state standards, in Texas that would be TEKs. CSCOPE them provides tools to propagate the curriculum, test to it, and help to make a consistent experience throughout the system.
The tea party claim is false, with a grain of truth. First, it wasn't a new curriculum item within CSCOPE. Second, it was an optional item, not part of a mandatory curriculum. Note though how they can mention some optional curriculum used by a few schools, and because CSCOPE is used by 70%, they give you the impression that 70% of the schools are currently teaching this.
"CSCOPE is a curriculum support system that is fully aligned to the TEKS and designed to provide a common language, process and structure for curriculum development. Groups of ESC professionals and content specialists have collaboratively clarified the TEKS so that instructional delivery is more focused to ensure success for all students."
If there is an odd item in the curriculum, the focus should be on TEKS, which drives the curriculum.
Now, if you dig into the specific charge about Allah, you find it is based on a powerpoint that supposedly is from the curriculum. For this post, I won't deal with whether the powerpoint is actually used.
The powerpoint is a section teaching about Islam. So, in the powerpoint, you learn what Islam teaches. Since Islam teaches that Allah is God, that is what the powerpoint tells you Islam teaches.
If the school tells students that the Catholic faith teaches that God sent his Son to die on the cross for our sins, that would not mean that the schools are telling our kids they need to accept Christ as Savior.

Hopefully Texans will rise up and stop this nonsense. Texans stood up quite well when Rick Perry and his Communist-Globalist buddies tried to push that North American Union and NAFTA SuperHighway Big Government nonsense.

Many Texas Freepers seem to believe that Texas is somehow exempt from the socialism blitz. Check out your public schools, look at what your public libraries are offering, listen to your politicians. The biggest tragedy in Texas is that so many believe they are not being set up for socialism. Guess again.

Well... if you're a statist then that's absolutely true; statism is the opposite idea of those described in the Declaration of Independence -- therefore there are no rights except the ones the state bestows/allows and there is thus no obligation to the people, not for the people to revolt in any circumstance. (Even ancient China, with its "Mandate of Heaven" recognized that the government could lose that mandate... our current drive toward statism is nothing less than the drive to place all our fellow citizens under absolute despotism.)
I live in lefty Austin and the so-called progressives are infiltrating every government office while establishing several ‘non-profits’ directed at ‘aiding the children’.
These lefties are targeting the recent wave of illegals in order to build a future democrat voter base.
Surprisingly, not all of these lefties are California transplants or relocated northerners but born and bred Texans.
When you become as successful as Texan there will be some folks who suffer from guilt either from race or from ‘feeling’ to wealthy and ‘wanting to give back to society’.
Do not shun Austin like so many of you conservative Texans do, but infiltrate and attack this cancer before it spreads elsewhere.
