Track Palin, the eldest son of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, is reportedly ending his marriage to Britta Hanson after a year and a half.
The couple, who were former high-school sweethearts, are jointly petitioning for divorce, reports TMZ.
Shortly after they got married, Track, now 23, and Britta, 22, announced the arrival of their first child, a girl named Kyla Grace Palin.
Track is an Army Reservist who spent a year deployed in Iraq with a Ft. Wainwright Stryker Brigade.
At the time of his marriage it was reported that he had planned to study at the University of Alaska after the commercial fishing season.

Clearly the fault of George Bush.

If true, sorry to hear this.
I don’t like seeing anyone go through tough times.

I wonder what in the world the Palins were smoking when they came up with the names of their children. They all have some of the silliest names for kids I’ve seen!

She was pregnant when he married her (which was obvious from the wedding picture even though freepers howled like stuck pigs if you pointed it out). Shotgun weddings don’t always end well.

Very impressive reporting work in such a short time. Funny that the “press” has been unable to unearth any of Obama’s records at all.

Cute couple, sad to see another child without intact family. My teacher daughter tells me this is often the biggest challenge school kids face these days. In her 3rd grade class in an upscale suburb, only 42% of kids are in a family with both birth parents.

The Palins, all of them, are a private family and have stepped away from, the spotlight and should be left alone from the prying eyes of the MSM.
Instead, the media keeps interfering in the lives of the Palins and we cannot imagine how difficult it would be to for your family and marriage to be at the center of media attention.

Yeah, but the MSM was damn good about important stuff like finding the status of Joe the Plumber’s trade license.

It's an Alaskan thing, I guess - Track(self explanatory), Piper(airplane), Bristol (Bay).
We lived in Juneau for 25 years and our veterinarian had three sons named Brick, Skiff, and Timber.

This is the type of tabloid trash beneath the dignity of Free Republic. I personally come here for news of significance and informed, adult opinion. If I want TMZ garbage, there are plenty of other venues for such filth.
The Palins are a wonderful family and I believe we should have the utmost respect for their privacy. YYMV...IMHO.

I like all those names you mentioned. Very unique and respectful.
Unlike Laquisha, Malishique, or Dirka Dirka.

No, shotgun weddings are often done for the child and not necessarily because there’s love present between the parents.
To: nascarnation
Our society pays a very high price for this.

This should be good enough to keep senator menendez and his illegal sex abusing boy toy out of the news.
