The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) has launched a federal investigation over a conversation between a Huntsville JROTC instructor and a lesbian student about the Bible and homosexuality.
Last April, Virgil Grissom High School student Taylor Sisk, 15, asked a local homosexual activist to file a complaint on her behalf after 1st Sgt. Lynn Vanzandt allegedly told her that he believed the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. It is unclear how the conversation began.
Sisk, who leads her school’s Gay-Straight Alliance club, claimed she was talking to another girl about wanting to live in San Francisco when Vanzandt made his remarks. Other witnesses have said the girls directly asked Vanzandt his opinion on homosexuality. Sisk claimed they then asked him to stop talking about it and, when he refused, her friend ran crying from the room.

The DOE is a huge jobs program for liberals, an affirmative action hiring hall. Stuffed full of useless liberals and gays. Gays adore these fabulous fabulous Federale jobs. This why the Federale Gov’t is so effed and dysfunctional and oppressing the normal people of America

Direct such individuals to the appropriate Biblical passages and turn the question around. Ask them if they believe the Bible condemns homosexual behavior.
If they’re capable of reading, the correct answer is evident. This shows them the truth while keeping you from being caught up in the intended result of such a baiting, political question.
If anyone thinks “gay marriage” isn’t going to be used to try to force churches to marry homosexuals, they’re delusional.

What’s she worried about? Two women can’t have sex anyway.
I think a more interesting discussion is that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality as greatly more evil than other sexual sins. In fact, in the NT it is generally listed as just one of numerous sins, sexual and otherwise. Right in the middle of the list.
Conservatives and Christians have, IMO, assigned a uniquely extreme sinfulness to homosexual acts that the Bible does not really support. Meanwhile, other sexual sins, which the Bible implies are similar in their degree of sinfulness, are treated by them in practice as merely venial or even not sins at all.
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them must be stoned. :-)
Protestants say that all sins are equally wrong, and Catholics (and presumably Orthodox as well) say that sexual sin is of the venial sort. The reason it appears that we assign a 'uniquely extreme sinfulness' to it is primarily because the surrounding culture has made it a hot-button issue; liars, drunks and thieves aren't organizing and trying to have their behavior given the church's mark of approval.
This student has been successfully indoctrinated and brainwashed. She was blessed to have someone speak truth to her. Her answer was to run to this 'activist' who would publicly back her up and make her feel legitimized in her sinful lifestyle. That isn't love or protection. It's lies and jumping off the cliff together morally and spiritually.

Of course the Bible condemns homosexuality. But of course, “homosexuality” is really a modern construct whicj turns same sex attractionb into a personality trait rather than the form of behavior condemned by the Bible. The Bible condemns sodomy for the same reason that it condemns adultery. It is hard to talk to people who have been filled with this idea that a homosexual is a kind of person, and that his actions are natural to him. At bottom is the notion that no expression of human desire is intrinsically evil. Christianity must be suppressed because it teaches that certain acts are sinful. Gays hate Christianity for the same reason that murderers do.
hmm ~ they had the death penalty for all of them at one time or the other ~ so the limits on this discussion are ........ and ............ or ...........
