~Favorite Country Love Songs ~
You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma (D. Frizell and S. West)
There's a full moon over Tulsa, I hope that it's shining on you. The nights are getting cold, In Cherokee County. There's a Blue Norther passing through. I remember green eyes and a ranchers daughter. But remember is all that I do. Losing you left a pretty good cowboy, With nothing to hold on to. Sundown came and I drove to town, And drank a drink or two. You're the reason God made Oklahoma, You're the reason God made Oklahoma. And I'm sure missing you, I'm sure missing you.
Here the city lights out shine the moon I was just now thinking of you. Sometimes when the wind blows you can See the mountains, And all the way to Malibu. Everyone's a star here in L.A. County, You ought to see the things that they do All the cowboys down on the Sunset Strip Wish that they could be like you. The Santa Monica Freeway, Sometimes makes a country girl blue You're the reason God made Oklahoma, You're the reason God made Oklahoma. And I'm sure missing you.
I work 10 hours on a John Deere tractor, Just thinking of you all day.
I've got a calico cat and a 2 room flat, On a street in West L.A.
You're the reason God made Oklahoma, You're the reason God made Oklahoma. And I'm sure missing you, I'm sure missing you.

One of the best ever, Allison Krause/John Waite singing Lay Down Beside Me. Song starts at 40 seconds, ignore the visuals if you don’t like them, the song is simply beautiful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06NmutNGF44

I'm good, thanks!
Those lights can cost a few dollars. I used to really enjoy decorating when the kids were here but just don't have what it takes these days!

“He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones
“You beat me to it.” “
and me...
I had heard the song many times but had never paid attention to the words, then one day I did and the tears came down... George sold a few more CD’s shortly thereafter...
I personally consider it the number one Country record of all time...

I like this shaky but emotive old Elvis Presley recording of an even older Eddy Arnold country song.
I'll Hold You In My Heart Till I Can Hold You In My Arms - Elvis Presley
(I recommend you just scroll down to read the song lyrics, rather than watch all the endless Elvis pics in the video. I also recommend you just ignore the trailer at the end of the video.)

I still really enjoy the lights but Big T does most of the work & I just help & “gopher”. :)
In years past I would make hot chocolate to bring out while we put up lights but this year it is so unusually warm I had to bring out ice water! LOL
To: Lakeshark
