I don’t normally get into this type of thing but even I may buy a ticket.
If I lived within 50 miles of the US border, I’d hop down to buy a powerball ticket everytime it hit $300 million.
22, 37 and powerball 34
Fools. Every dime you throw into this waste basket feeds the beast.
Yeah that paltry 325 mil last week wasn't worth the effort.
All the proles in Oceania waited eagerly for the Ministry of Plenty to announce the lottery winner.

SNICKER...LOL
My retirement plans are finally starting to see fruition. Just when I was losing hope.
Buying lottery tickets is a complete waste of time and money.
Look for 2 days of news covering the long lines to purchase ticket.
[I got 2 at a local convenience store early this morning. No lines at all. $4 at a chance for $425 million. Sure, why not.]
Not for Nothing but after the Supreme Ct. Decision on Obamacare you apparently DON’T have a choice on feeding the beast. But at least the lottery money goes to the individual states and you have a choice....you get to decide to buy or not buy lottery tickets. So if it’s your choice not to induldge in buying lottery tickets I respect you decision.
The ticket’s the cost of a beer. I’ll skip my afternoon beer for a couple of days and have fun dreaming. No harm, no foul!

$425 million
With that kind of money, I could pay most of my bills!
I do not respect that decision. It is asinine to put your money into this scam. Anyone who does is a fool and I lose a tiny but finite amount of respect for anyone who does.
It’s not much of a retirement plan, but it is what it is.
"Complete" implies they are 100% a waste. I would argue that they're probably only a 99% waste of time and money. Certainly, somebody sooner or later will win it. For those who don't win it, it's the opportunity to dream about winning for a few days, and to think about how one would use the money. For some people that can be a healthy endeavor carefully examining and evaluating one's priorities, wants and desires and the actions they would take given virtually unbridled economic freedom.
I haven't played in years precisely for having done the above :-)
